Closet Purge and season change
Now after doing it SO MANY TIMES in the last year it is a PITA. LOL
I have been going crazy at the resale/consignment/thrift stores and my closet was overflowing. I am below goal and have been holding at a steady weight for a month now, so I hope this is my last large closet purge. I tried on at least 30 pairs of slacks and jeans yesterday!
I did all the hanging clothes yesterday plus jeans and will tackle the folded shelves and dresser today. I also have been bringing blazers/jackets up from the basement rods and putting shorts and short sleeved blouses down stairs. It will be scary when I get to the bras, most will have to go for being way to big :(
I wonder if this counts as a workout LOL I sure have done a lot of stairs this weekend.

What seems almost as crazy as all the changes of wardrobe is when it stays the same for years!!! I can still wear almost all of my very tiniest clothes. A few pants are comfortable and I believe in being comfortable but really, the same clothes for 2 yrs is amazing.

I had a lot of intentions on cleaning my closets but it just didn't happen.
I'm have been wearing the same dress pants for over 3 years. I bought 2 of each color and I get them dried cleaned so they have stayed really nice. I had dropped down to a size 2 at about 1.5 years out but moved back up to a 4 and have been holding steady at that. Shirts on the other hand just don't hold up so I am always checking sale racks for those. Early out I wore a PS but since everything has redistributed I feel better in PM.
I would think doing steps, lifting in and out of the closet, folding etc. would definitely be worth something!.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

I've had to do the closet cleanse a couple of times. I can't wait to do it again. My last one was a few weeks ago. I went through all of my summer cloths for next year and got rid of everything big. I figure by summer I won't fit in any of then any way, THAT WAS SCARY putting faith in the surgery to last. That has never been true in the past, I have always kept my big cloths knowing that I would fit into them again someday. I hope this cleanse is one that sticks. I can't wait till I'm a steady weight that I can hit the good wills and the st vincent depaul stores and update my wardrobe. I have a lot of jeans for being tiny but right now don't fit in them. They are about two sizes to three sizes smaller than where I am now. I wish I was a size smaller now because I had a wedding dress given to me that would fit if I were. Oh well. I guess I'll have to cave and get a dress. UGH I DID get a party dress that fits now and will fit while I lose the next 15-20 lbs. It's beautiful and I look skinny in it. :D
Yes, I understand! I have trouble mentally not saving some of my favorite "to big" clothes for .... just in case I gain. Maintenance is scary!!
I also got a party dress for Christmas, it is beautiful and full length. Isn't it weird to look skinny in a dress LOL
I have a job interview today and got a suit at goodwill yesterday for $9 woo hoo
