Sunday Weigh In
Okay, what was your surgery weight and how tall are you? I seriously doubt you are the slowest...I suspect it's because you are trying to compare yourself to others on your surgery board and those lean toward heavyweights who SEEM to lose faster.

I am 5' 1" and started at 215. I am three months out. My doctor says I should have lost 15 pounds between Sept 27 and Oct 25. Right now I have only lost 5 pounds. You are correct about me comparing myself to heavyweights. I will remember to calculate BMI and % lost. I would to lose at least 5 pounds within the next week so as to show the doctor I did work towards the 15 pounds he suggested. But alas, I will not make his goal. I am learning to be happy with inches lost. Thank you for taking time to respond.
At 5'1", 132 lbs is a 25% BMI.
Total of 83 excess lbs.
You have lost 38 lbs.
38 lbs lost / 83 lbs excess...equals 45% GONE.
First month, I lost almost 22 lbs
Second month: 12.4 lbs
Third month 9 lbs
So at my 3 month mark, I was down 42.8 lbs (JUST a few more but not much)
Fourth month, lost only 5 lbs.
I still got to goal by month 8.
This is not a sprint but a marathon for the LONG haul.
Do NOT let your doctor make you all weird about your rate of lose...he is also in the "heavyweight mindset" where they drop an amazing amount each month but percentage, WE drop faster.
Liz

I've been away the last two weekends, I don't even remember what what the number was the last time I posted, but I also hit 143 this morning. OMG is right, that is just a bit about the "zone" that is comfortable. Time to start logging in MFP again, I've been a slacker.
I did not know you were having back surgery, I'll swing some lizards for you.
Linda, logging helps so many get back on track. I don't log mine often, just occasionally tas a reality check. It's how I figured out I wasn't getting enough protein. So I added a protein coffee and life was good.
Yeah, I've let the LW's know but kept it low key most places...
