Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!!

Has anyone seen the message going around on facebook concerning "people who work weekends are tired of those of us who are happy it's Friday"?  I do think of that often when I post on Fridays.  When I go to stores on holidays I always tell the clerks thank you for working on a holiday but I never think to thank them for working their weekends.

Do any of you take the Probiotics?  I have struggled with constipation since WLS.  The Dr. told me to start taking Probiotics every day and I can't believe how much easier it has been to go to the bathroom.  Now if I could just get the nausea to go away I might actually feel normal.

Hi Roz,

I've had issues since surgery also.  What type probiotic are you taking?

I'm so glad it is Friday.  I took DGD#2 to school this morning and she will ride the bus to her home this afternoon.  She was so ready to go home, missed her mommy and daddy so much!!  She asked them both to pick her up from the bus this afternoon.  I am actually looking forward to a nice quite weekend.  I have work to finish up and hope to go off with DH tomorrow for a little while.  We will probably go to the mall and walk around a little and eat lunch somewhere, then we are going to see his aunt that went home this week and make sure she is doing ok.

Trying to stay on plan today...it has been a hard several weeks.

I bought this at Walmart: Culturelle Digestive Health: Dairy Free Probiotic Supplement, 30 ct

Usually on Friday's DD#1 doesn't work and they have Mommy day but since there wasn't school on Monday  she traded her day off and my DGD was so upset when her Mom left her this morning so I could get her on the bus.  She never acts like that but it must be something that she really looks forward too. Fortunately it's going to be the weekend and she doesn't have to go to work tomorrow.

It looks like you did a good job today!

I'd definitely consider working weekends if it were an option instead of a weekday.  Working weekends you don't have to fight rush hour traffic, you can schedule you doctor, dentist, hospital and other appointments if you have a regular mid-week day off.  As with most things in life there are pluses and minuses to both.

Having said all that... TGIF!! kiss

I've been taking probiotics in the form of Greek yogurt and that seems to work well for me.  On holiday I'll take some that I bought a while back that have 4 billion bacterial strains.  I know most DSers swear by higher numbers, but that gets really expensive and this one seems to make me happy for now.  It's made by HealthAid but I don't think you can get that on the US.

I'd start with a mid-price one with a decent number of strains (several billion) and see how you do.  I've read some people saying they get gassy with probiotics.  If you do well on that you can always consider going to a stronger one.  BTW the one DSers seem to frequently recommend is Primal Defense Ultra.

Today I had my first ever Oreos - just 2, we were in a meeting and they put them out!! :-S  Don't they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, he he!!

I'm not an Oreo fan but did you read this week about studies that say that Oreos are as addictive as Cocaine? It sounds a little crazy to me but it probably is hard to just take one.

Love the Totals!

I can believe how addictive Oreos are. They seem to have a little more sugar than normal cookies, not enough to be sickly but enough to make you want more.

HA, yeah, this is suppose to be my retirement business and it has been taking up way to much of my play time.  I plan on working tonight when it is to dark to play outside.  That is one advantage anyway.
