Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!     

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!!!!

I'm going to my PCP this morning about my stomach and back hurting.  Urine specimen did not show that I have a bladder infection so I'm hoping he comes up with another plan. I think I'm getting used to it so the pain is bearable but my stomach is still feeling nauseated.

UPDATE:   I am at the hospital drinking two huge glasses of Barium Sulfate so the can do a CT scan. They are checking to see if I have Diverticulitis. It does seem possible. I do strain when I go to the bathroom, I don't get enough fiber and I have all of the symptoms I am reading about.

Dinner:       2 Thin Boneless Pork Chops and 1/3 cup Mac/Cheese
(didn't have it last night)

Snack:      100 Calorie Popcorn (98% fat free)

B - mint cookie with milk                                       33g protein

S - Dannon Lite key lime greek yogurt               12g protein

L - 1/3 cup egg salad                                             9 g protein

S - 1/4 cup chopped mangoes                            1 g protein

D - 1 ckn tender made w/ buffalo sauce           11 g protein

 with 2 tsp blue cheese dressing

 

64 oz water

1/2 hr on recumbant bike and free weight program for 15 minutes.

2 flinstones complete and 1 b12 vitamin and 3 calcium citrus vitamins.

lots of sugar free popsicles

Getting GOOD Protein in is more important than counting calories......my opinion....do what you think is best for you.

I agree with Roz. It's all about avoiding the carbs and keeping the protein up.  Hang in there.

Aw - is this all related to your kidney infection?  I hope they can give you something for it.

Naughty DH hogged the PC all last night so I didn't get to post, but Sunday was pretty much the same Saturday ~160g protein.

Today I've had less protein for some reason - I may have some nuts or fish sticks later to get my number up, but I'm just not feelin' the love for protein today!! ;-)

PCP thought I had a bladder infection but the tests came back negative. I am at the hospital right now getting a CT scan in a little while. He thinks it might be diverticulitis.

If your Protein Drink is a good one then your totals are probably pretty good.

Yep - I think it's a good shake.  I also pigged out on fish sticks and added an extra 30g of protein as a night time snack so it ended up being a respectable day protein-wise at 140g in the end.

I hope it's not diverticulitis.  Please keep us posted as to how you do on the front.  I'm sending up prayers for you.

Hi Roz,

Sure hope they can get you feeling better soon!!  Hope your DH is doing better.  My BIL & SIL from Virginia have been with us since Friday so I have not even gotten on line.  We had a great visit.  They left to go home this morning and now I'm back at work.
