Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!!!!!

Happy Saturday!!!!  Steady rain today which is kind of relaxing.  No wind blowing and everything seems to be getting a good washing before winter comes. Going to get my nails done....finally finding a little time for me....YEAH!   Not sure about our eats today..just playing it by ear but I promise to make good choices!!!

I ordered 5 pair of jeans and I hated every single one of them!  I think if there was anything I could afford to get Plastic Surgery on it would be my legs.  I have a horrible amount of extra skin/fat that bulges out at the panty line. But...since that's never going to happen I need to find something that at least conceals it a little.

I would like that little ball of fat off my upper thighs. You can see between my legs, then thigh fat touches, then see between my lower thighs. Ugh gross. I had 3 oz of beef roast for breakfast and plan on the same thing for lunch, walleye for supper. Pretty boring today.

I really don't care how gross mine looks (I'm getting use to it) but I that part of me doesn't even look good in pants.

Menu = Yummy!

Maybe Spanx would do the trick for you.  TT is highest on the wish list for me, but thighs are there too... I can but dream!! ;-)

It's been a nice and quiet day today - I used some glycolic acid on a couple of areas of my face today and it seems to have done away with the blackheads on my nose already, who'da thunk that?? ;-)

I'm definitely dreaming!!!  If I ever come into money I'm headed for the PS.

My DH struggles with Blackheads.  Fortunately our DD#3 bought some tool and she cleans his face up really good every few months.  We also bought Biore' Blackhead cleaner and it keeps his face from getting to bad.

Sounds Good!

Hi Roz, I agree, Spanx works wonders! I'm back from Paris where I ate and made good choices in several restaurants for the first time post-op. It was wonderful and the first time in 7 years I didn't have any food getting stuck, vomiting, etc! So glad I go rid of my Lapband. Back to regular life and routines
B: Yogurt with protein. 38g
L: Homemade beef chile. 20g
S: 70g cottage cheese. 8g
S: 40g of sliced turkey. 18g

All water a vitamins in. Walked over 5k at the street fair today. Fun!

I've always wondered if there's very many people who experience long term success with the band.  My friend and her DH both got the band a year ago and he is so thin and I can't really notice much difference in her.  Another friend that I haven't seen for a couple of years looks like she has kept most of her weight off but she was never was really extremely heavy and I don't think she lost enough to get to a normal BMI.

I think Spanx are so binding.  To me jeans are tight enough without adding more discomfort. I did wear nylons to my DD's wedding that had extra support up your turso and thighs that weren't that uncomfortable.  I thought about trying those.  I just think I have lost all of this weight I and I'm 60 years old I earned being comfortable...lol.

Love the Variety!

Roz - I am sure there are people who can make the Band work for them long term - unfortunately I was not one of them.  Something I realized fairly early out but felt embarrassed to admit.  It was just so much HARD WORK and I don't mean following the meal plan/diet, I mean it was so fickle and took so much effort to figure out.  I spent so much of my time strategising just to be able to eat without vomiting. Towards the end -7 years out - I was vomiting up daily most of my solid proteins. I would never recommend the Band to anyone - why go that way when the sleeve is now available?  But everyone must do their own thing and walk their own path.

As far as Spanx - well I agree in that they aren't for everyday!  I have found that Lands End (now Sears?) carries great workout pants (active wear) that have just enough weight to minimze bulges.  My mother swears by them (she is 4'10 and a petit XL).  In grandma mode, they may work for you?!  Hope you get a grandbaby fix tomorrow :)

WOW...that must have been a terrible exhausting experience!!!!   I debated about the band but while I was sitting in the surgeon's office all of the band people were having a conversation....I'm getting a fill, I'm having some out, I've been here 3 times in the last 2 months, and one guy was having some taken out so he could eat on his honeymoon and that one really blew me away.  I don't like needles and just the thought of having a foreign object in my body bothered me plus it seemed like it took way to much thinking for me.

I tried Lands End but everything was to big for me.  I don't wear active wear out in public but I do have a few pairs I wear at home and they are from Target.  I haven't looked at the jeans at Target maybe I need to check them out.  I need jeans for Fridays at work and for going to the cheer competitions.
