WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Are you ready for fall? Have you tried on your winter things? I bet some of you have to get a whole new wardrobe....how exciting!! I've got to find some jeans. I've mentioned this before...I HATE JEANS!!! If I could find some nice casual slacks that aren't too dressy I would skip the jeans all together. I ordered a couple pairs of Jones of NY. I loved their Bermuda shorts and the description is similar so hopefully they fit the same.

I had to pull jeans out cause it got so chilly in Michigan. I found 2 pair at Kohls on the clearance rack for $15 (levi's) and $10 (Sonomas) that fit. The Levi's are too long. I hate getting things altered, but I may need to. The Sonomas fit perfectly. Both were size 6's. This vanity sizing is nuts... especially since I was a 4 at 125, and now at the upper 130's I'm only a 6, and I STILL fit in some of my 4's, even though most of my weight is in my butt/thighs.
Now - sweaters... I went through a lot of them last spring when packing up winter stuff for storage. I'll have to see what's left. I may be in the market for a few new ones. I'm a little afraid to try on my dress pants... because of the butt/thigh issue, but need to.
On a whim, I came out to San Diego for the week. Eating will be "out" all week, but my friend, restriction, has been running rampant the past several days, which I definitely appreciate.
My sister asked me the other day if I regretted my surgery. I said "not at all". Then i explained how people mourn food and regret they had the surgery because of the void food filled, which they now have open. Told her I was glad I never went through that, and I appreciate, at almost 5 years out, that my restriction can still control me.
B - a bit of scrambled eggs, almost a sausage link and 2 pieces of bacon. Also splurged and got some oatmeal, at about 3 bites of that. and coffee was stuffed....
L - 1/2 a cheese quesadilla (leftover from last night)

My "fat" seems to be falling rapidly lately. I have always been so evenly balanced and now I am bony on top and fuller on the bottom. My size 4 dress pants still fit me but I can see the thigh bulge at my panty line. I'm not sure what to do about it, I really don't want to start wearing longer spanks. I think that's why I don't like jeans. They don't hang loose enough and there just isn't any forgiveness for flaws.
On a whim....sounds like a dream to me!!! I can't even go to the grocery store without asking if anyone needs me and if I do go without telling someone I always get a phone call wondering where I am. Are you traveling alone?
I have NO regrets either. I'm also very fortunate that I don't morn food. It seems like I am busier than ever since I had WLS. I have to admit though I did way to much shopping the first few years that I now regret but it was fun at the time.
I'm sure you will make the best food choices you can!

No - meeting friends out here. I'm going to meet up with a lady that I was best friends with when our hubby's were in the Air Force together. It's been 25 years since I've seen her and I'm SO excited!
I've got the thigh bulge too... but mine isn't only settling.. it's accumulated extra fat.... working on that...
As far as shopping early out, yea... I've got lots of clothes too that I'm having to weed out. Sad to see the ones that "don't fit anymore" sitting there... and hoping they will again some day. But I'm realistic enough to know that even if by some stroke of luck I see 127 again, they won't fit the same.

As of now... nothing, but knowing I need to lose some weight. Hopefully that's where it will come off from!

I've got a pair of stretchy skinny jeans as I couldn't find normal jeans to fit me right as my waist is smaller than my butt and I end having to wear a belt and bunch up the waist to get jeans to fit otherwise!! :-S
'twas a drizzly day today... we were meant to be having an Indian summer and I'm not impressed that this doesn't appear to be the case! :-(

I have the same problem - if it fits in the hips/thighs, the waist is way too big. I've always had the "hourglass" figure and while it's nice to wear belts/dresses with, its a pain for shorts/pants to fit right! I refuse to wear a belt to scrunch it up...
