That's great that you taking time to visit her. It would be lonely being away from home. Our friend who lives in FL now had his knee down at the end of the week. His wife posted on facebook "Pap for Free"...he must be complaining.....LOL. I told her to put him on a plane since he isn't working right now. He usually comes up to visit this time of year after Disney slows down and DH would love if he could stay longer than a few days.
My Carbquik muffins are almost gone and I won't be making any more for awhile....LOL.
Good Job!

I think I need to go see my chiro soon. He leaves for FL every fall so I need to call and see what his plan is. I have been having trouble with my arm going numb and he can usually fix it up in one treatment.
Sounds Good!

Looking forward to my appt today but after the dentist yesterday and a day of antibiotics, I think most of my neck issue was from a bad tooth. Now I get to spend $2000 on a root canal and crown. Woo hoo. Can't even see the endodonist for 2 weeks.

Hello all!
I've never posted here before. It looks like you guys are having yummy meals. I can't seem to get into the swing of things (I'm almost 5 months out). I kind of cheat. I just drink protein shakes to ensure that I get my protein in. I have 2 or 3 a day and then something for dinner. So I keep my calories around 700, carbs less than 40, protein usually around 90. I get 80 - 90 ounces of water in each day and I am doing Couch to 5K every day then I add some walking to it (I'm on week 4). I"m pretty good with my morning vitamins, I keep forgetting my afternoon calcium and my multivitamin.
Something caught my eye on the original post - bad carbs. Would you consider peanut butter to be "bad carbs"? Once I take a spoonful I keep going back. I stay within my calories and usually within my carbs if I have peanut butter. I'm just wondering where they fall within my diet plan.
thanks!
Welcome to M&M!!!! Good Job on doing the Couch to 5K!!
First off...what do you mean you cheat? Are you talking about getting your Protein in through drinks?
I'm almost 5 years out and I only count the Protein from my drinks for my daily total. I don't think that's cheating I think that's smart....IF your Protein is Good Whey Protein. If you are talking about Protein that you add to water or Special K drinks etc. then those Protein totals are pretty worthless and you need to start either switch your Protein or you had better starting eating good Protein.
I Like Peanut Butter too and I also have a problem controlling it. I don't think of it as a bad carb but since I can't control myself Peanut Butter isn't something I eat every day. Control is a major key to being successful after the honeymoon is over. When I do have it I limit myself to 1 TBs. Lately I have been dipping baby carrot sticks in it. It last longer because of the chewing part, the fiber from the carrots fills me and I seem completely satisfied when I'm done.
I consider bad carbs: breads, pasta, rice, flour, etc.

I feel like I'm cheating because I don't cook. I drink Premier Protein shakes (please, please, please don't tell me those are no good! LOL) two to three times a day. I'll have chicken or fish or steak for dinner and a few veggies.
Thanks for the clarification on the bad carbs. I definitely stay away from those things! I'm afraid they may be a trigger or something and I don't want to go back to where I was! That's for sure.
What kind of Protein is it? I couldn't find that information. It does have a lot of calories but other than that I don't know anything else about it. I'm sure other's will chime in. If not start a post and for sure others will post.
This is what a lot of us use: Syntrax (comes in many flavors), 90 calories, 0 fat, 0 carbs, 0 sugar, 23 grams of Whey Protein.
