Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!!!!!

LW's you have probably read my message above about CARBS but I am going to repeat it today!!!!    I was up a couple of pounds this morning and I deserve every ounce of it (I left my guard down.....darn those Rice Krispie treats for calling my name)!!!!   Those of you who think you can eat carbs early out (even SF carbs and several servings of fruit) and keep your weight off are fooling yourselves!!!!  Carbs are EVIL!!!!!  They fool you during the losing stage because you can still loose weight but eventually the honeymoon period will be over and because you haven't changed your eating habits you will still be hooked on carbs and the scales WILL start going up again.

I'm guessing we all love carbs or we wouldn't haven't gotten over weight. It's hard to break habits when the weight comes off so easily during the honeymoon period.

Good for you!

Yep - I second Roz!

Had Grandparents day today at Wynn's daycare.  they had mini-muffins, OJ, lemonade and coffee.  I had 1 1/3 mini muffins and coffee.  Wynn ate 2 2/3, plus her OJ, plus lemonade - they'll be peeling her off the ceiling!  I also got to see Vivi - she's such a doll, I know I keep saying that, but she crawled over to me, pulled herself up and had the biggest smile!

B - coffee

S - leftover mushroom soup that is to DIE for (creamy, fatty and oh-so-good)

L - portabella mushroom pizza

D - don't know

Carbs are definitely evil.  Too bad they taste so good and call our names so often!  Today has been a major milestone for me.  I went for my obligatory physiotherapy session at my bariatric's center's onsite gym.  First time I set foot in a training gym in 30 years! (When I was 12, my parents made me go to a sort of Fat Camp in a hospital group setting where I had to exercise in a gym with all the other fat kids - scarred me for life!).  Anyway - I conquered my fears, I showed up and it was actually exhilarating!  Who knew?  I did 45 minutes of Cardio -yes that's right, CARDIO and then 20 minutes of weight training.  I am so proud of myself I could bust.  How hard core is that???  And I'm pretty on top of my eating and drinking so today is a good day...

B: Café au lait + Yogurt w/ protein powder      30g

S:  Ice Tea protein drink     23g

L:  60g cottage cheese    8g

S:  1 cheese stick     4g

D:   1 piece sliced chicken with 30 gr of green beans - 10g

All water and vitamins - :)

I certainly went overboard with the carbs while I was camping.  Gosh we have such good food and it is like a church family night dinner every evening with a whole table of deserts.  So I am on no carbs for a few days to get back to my normal.  I walked early with Thor and have muscle pump  this evening.

decaf protein coffee  33g
eggbeaters, kale, cheese
hot chocolate protein  30g
tuna on a carbquick roll
lemon tea protein  13g
deli meat/cheese roll-up
lamb burger, green beans
protein shake  33g

I remember when your menus were super low net carb.  I always wondered how you did that.    I don't eat many carbs but boy when I do it sets me off for disaster!

Good Menu!
