Hormones
I had the DS 4 months ago, i am a light weight and have lost 55 pounds so far. I have been really tired and sleeping a lot, have no energy most of the time. My question is my breast feel full and hurt( like when your pregnant) Is this a sign that my hormones are off and not level? If so is there something I can do? Also, There is no possible way I am pregnant.

I know hormones can do some crazy things during the weight loss phase but I haven't heard this one yet. If it continues much longer you might want to get some tests done.

I didn't have any hormones to get in the way of everything, hysterictomy years ago. But I think my energy level improved as my D3 level came up. Did you have labs before surgery? When are your next ones? Could be several culprits with the energy and I don't have a clue about your breast. I agree with Gina, if it doesn't get better, talk to your Dr.

I had raging hormones after my DS. I would get the same symptoms of an on-coming menstral cycle even though I have not had a cycle for 10 years. Surges of Estrogen which would mess with my moods, my acne would flare, my skin would feel translucent and dew-y (like when you are pregnant), joints would ache, breasts would hurt... you name it, it was raging. I felt like I was going through a bad period every 2 weeks.
If your breasts hurt when you had your cycle, then it's most likely the estrogen being released from your fat cells.
Energy level: check your iron and other vit levels. You should have just had blood tests at 3 months. And due for another set of tests at 6 months, right?

I agree and have shared this with several people who have either made the comment or have told me that they want to have the surgery. I explained that they needed to do the research because it is a process and you have to continue to work for the rest of your life. I have had several problems occur as a result of the surgery but ultimately I do not regret my decision. I just wish I had more counseling prior to the surgery to help me with my struggles after surgery.
