Good Morning. Brainstorming a WLS-friendly Trail Mix

Hi guys,

You all know I'm the world's worst grazer, right? I have no control when it comes to popcorn, peanuts, Chex mix, various trail mixes and such, so how about brainstorming some trail mix concoctions and share your ideas here?  I know all WLSs are a little different, so you might want to add a warning label to your ideas. Thanks and have an awesome long weekend! Happy Labor Day!   kiss

How bout kashi go lean, dried cranberries and almonds?

I eat these all seperately, but mixed together together they might be too good to leave alone.

I love dried cranberries too much too. I'm afraid to look at the sugar and carbs count in them. Yikes!  I think JayRobb should make cranberry flavored protein bars. They could be the same consistency as real dried cranberries...just enough chewy texture. Now I'm craving dried cranberries.  lol

Check the dried ran berries carefully. Most dried fruit is dipped in pure sugar before it is packaged.

What about adding some chopped dark chocolate or the arrest chocolate chips you could find?
Also sunflower seeds and maybe cracked buckwheat . Buckwheat is nota grain,it is actually a seed so is not a problem in that way.

Sounds like a Good idea Gina!  I don't worry to much about the fat in nuts etc.  It's carbs like pretzels that I just can't bring myself to eat.

I have to put everything in snack size ziploc's or really small containers because I just can't stop and then I wonder is this little bit even worth eating....LOL.

Measuring out a serving or 2 for work is a great idea too, Roz. I need to start doing that again.

Yes that is the question, can I or can I not only eat my premeasured amount!

Cashews, other nuts
dark chocolate bits (big bar chopped up)
dried cranberries/raisons
SF dried fruit
freeze dried carrots or tomatoes
popcorn spinkled with flavor (garlic or Spenda)
protein bar of your choice
unsweetened coconut

Love the idea of a bar cut up for sweetness!

We picked up samples of its about time high protein granola. I haven't had mine yet, but hubby liked his quite well. Wondering if you could incorporate this product or its ingredients into your mix?

Walmart sells a mix of dark chocolate, dried cranberries and pistachios.  It is amazing.
