Well, most of you know that I have taken up ice skating again, and even competed last month. One of my goals for the past several months has been to land a jump, any jump, by my surgiversary date. Well, last night, I learned, and landed several bunny hops. I know to some people, a bunny hop is no big deal, but I'm over the moon thrilled about it. Once I can to that well, it will be time to learn the waltz jump. I would have never thought my journey would lead me to something I love so much. One of the "side effects" of my VSG and this activity is that I am finally learning to live in the moment and enjoy it, and to do things for myself. I just had to share this victory with you.

I love this post. I bought a pair of ice skates while visiting my kids and grandkids last year, but haven't even tried them out yet. I am hoping that will my WLS, this Winter I will get on the ice with them and and feel more confident that if I fall, I won't have so much weight going down with me!!
