Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!!!!!
WOW...the last week of August. I am so envious of those of you who live where it will still be warm for awhile. The leaves are already starting to change on some of the trees.
I did have a cookie last night with the grandson's but I'm very pleased with the rest of my days eats. After the boys left I found all of these little raisins lying all around. At first I thought we had a mouse in the house. Apparently Phoenix (18 months) doesn't like raisins...lol

He went to an oral surgeon and he was in the chair over 2 hours. They said the roots were all along his jaw line. He was in there so long Jen started to worry and then another patient came out and said they were having a terrible time pulling someone's tooth. The lady looked around the room and then looked at Jen and said oh, he must belong to you and then she really started to panic.. He was still sick last night but hopefully he is feeling better today (Wed.).
Sounds like a low carb day!

It is beautiful here today and has warmed back up. I got my walk in this morning but then the phone has kept me busy all morning, plus paperwork that has to be done before a meeting at 5:30, then payroll. glad I walked early. I had planned on riding Poppy but work had to come first.
I've been doing great staying out of the M&Ms. I wish DH would finish them off so they weren't even in the house.

Hi guys,
Today I meet with the dietician to go over my labs. The labs aren't bad overall but I have a couple of quirky things I'm not sure what to do with. High ferritin (350), and normal iron serum, hematocrit and hemaglobin but trending in the wrong direction.
Update: She wants me to only take Proferrin once a day and stop the carbonyl for 90 days and retest.

I always have my labs sent to my Surgeon's office and never once have they called me. Thank goodness I have my PCP who orders them for me and goes over them. Do you go twice a year or just once?
Your hair salon hands out cookies?
Sounds Good!
