Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Perio
I'm back and feeling stress free....for the moment....lol. The wedding was beautiful and everything went smoothly (once we all got our hair done and wedding outfits on). I swear I have NEVER seen my DD so happy! I know this is the first time that she has truly been in love and you can see in his eyes how much he loves her and her girls. They did their own vows and she talked so low we couldn't even hear what she was saying (I'll have to read her notes) but of course he spoke louder and he promised her, his DD and her 3 DD's a Loving Godly home and she started to cry. Her youngest one wanted held and she picked her up and they went right on with the ceremony. That put a tear in practically everyone's eyes.
Breakfast..... A very small piece of wedding cake. There is 1 piece of DH and then it is gone!!!

sounds wonderful. Hurray for everyone.
Today has been a hard day because Thor, 14 yr old rough coat JRT was sick and spent the day at the vet. We weren't sure if he would come home or if it was time to put him down. but he rallied and his temp came down so he is back home on new meds. He hasn't eaten, very odd, but hopefully will after a good nap. Everyone swing some lizards for Thor. I'm not ready to give him up yet.
Besides that, rain, what's new!!! so no playing with the ponies and I missed muscle pump with Thor coming home from the vets. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

I have NEVER seen her smile and be so relaxed as she was at the wedding. She even made a believer out of DD#1 who had her doubts. SIL and his DD moved into her house. Only 3 bedrooms so it's good they have all girls. They have a few things to fix and do some painting and then they are going to put it up for sale. Hoping to get a little more out of it than what she owes so they have some for a down payment or rental deposits. Her EX rented a Beautiful house in a very nice neighborhood so they were going to try and get something close to him and just be coincidence Marie's grandma who helped raise her lives on the next road over so that would be perfect and make life easy for getting all the girls back and forth. They are at least going to try and get in the same school district as her EX so that isn't an issue.
I just don't know about the Carbquik. I ate all my muffins in a week!!! It's just so much like eating carbs. Have you tried putting Protein in anything that you baked?
Sounds Good!

I'm glad it is all working out for them. I know it is easier on the children if the ex's can all get along.
I have tried some protein things in some of the carbquik, but I use a lot of the greek yogurt cream cheese, eggs and things like that and they have some protein in them. I have not found anything that I can cook and put protein powder in that I like much.
I made an carbquik apple pie Sunday - can't do that again. It was absolutely delicious and it is all gone except 1 piece. I used the sugar free apple pie filling and one slice would not be bad, but for some reason I have a hard time controlling this....
I had to stop the cinnamon muffins for a while too since I couldn't control them either. But even with eating more of it, it has still got to be better than eating a real muffin or slice of pie!!
That apple pie sounded soooo delicious! I really miss pie. Actually I think it is the crust I miss. Have you tried any kind of pot pie in carbquik crust? That might satisfy me.
