Jeans Jeans and more jeans...
I am in a dilemma... I was out shopping yesterday for long pants and K-Mart has a special on "Classic" (aka high waisted) jeans in really cool colors... like dark plum, dark teal, burnt orange... forest green... you know ... dark winter colors. So I am currently wearing a size 12 (or so I thought) and am still dropping lbs pretty regular so I picked up a couple pairs in a size 10, thinking I could get through at least the early months of fall and winter...
I tried them on at home this AM and low and behold they fit... but loosely... It is still to warm for me to be wearing jeans and I suspect it will be for at least another month or so...
my dilemma.... do I keep the loose fitting 10's (very comfy right now) or do I take them back and get the 8's???
I can't seem to shake the mental block of "dieting" for weight loss... you know... you buy a size smaller as incentive to lose weight... ya know... the "I don't want to jinx my weight loss efforts" blah blah blah
well in my new life, I don't think about losing weight... I concentrate on eating right and making my protein and water intake goals each day... My wallet is tight these days and I don't want to spend money on clothes that won't make it through the period for which I have designated them...
I will need to ponder this a bit... can't wait to long or all the "cool" colors will be gone...

Go try the 8's...if they fit then exchange what you have already bought.
Btw, I skipped 8's all together...waited 2 weeks too long. Was only in 10's for a week! I skipped from 10's to 6's.

I am going to try the 8's today... I have the 10' with me. If I can get the 8's on (even tight) I will swap out...
I skipped 14's... so far...
Thanks a bunch

Sizes get really crazy when they get smaller. I have everything from 4 to 10 in my closet that all fit. go back and try on the 8's. If you can fit in them but they are tight, get them. If the 10s are lose already, you may be able to wear the 8's by the time it gets cold.
I too missed a size but I can't even remember which one now.

I agree with Price the sizes are all over the map in jeans, I would opt to take them back and go with the 8's I went through this for a while myself. I would buy 8's one week the next I was in a 6 couldnt seem to win for a while. Good luck

I am so ok with needing to go smaller...
Just don't like the thought of giving away fairly unused clothes... wow, what a problem right... lol

I skipped 8's all together too. Go back and get the 8's. The 10's will be a waste of money in a week or so. I also shopped at Thrift Stores a LOT. Easier to justify $4 for a pair of jeans during the loss phase.

I think I will be back at the store during my lunch today to check out the 8's. I have actually gone to the Thrift Stores around here locally but can't seem to find anything I like. I also have a mental issue about wearing "other peoples clothes" I know it is in my head... they can and would be washed... but well... some things from childhood are to strong to get past. I was the 2nd youngest of 6 and lived in hand-me-downs until I had my first job... and not since then... I do pass my "out shrunk" clothes onto our Christian Ministries store tho..
