Just for Fun Friday

1.  Married /single / committed relationship? Married

2.  Children?  In house or out? Two stepdaughters, both married and living in AL right now. Both have a son (so two grandsons). Oldest will be moving next year to the Asheville, NC area.

3.  Urban / rural? Very small town urban. Town has only 2000 +/- people but we live IN town now.

4.  Plans for the weekend? Unpacking

Oh we are!. It's fun to be able to walk to town and back and still be under a 2 mile walk!

Two mornings this week, I got up early with dh to walk the puppies. Wed & Thursday, I couldn't hobble 10 feet much less walk to town...this morning, I was finally able to get out and walk...could get a tennis shoe on without it hurting my big toe. However, this afternoon, I whacked the leading edge of the big toe and now the toenail is only held on by the bed of the nail...I have it wrapped and wearing tennis shoes will be a few days away AGAIN. But it's fun to set off and walk in the early morning.

OUCH!!!  Maybe it will fit in flippers, sounds like that is what you will need this weekend anyway.

It does fit in my flippers. But those aren't good walking shoes, LOL.

1. Married for 23 years now.  Very special guy - he's French Canadian and has loved me through all my big and little sizes.

2.  Two boys, ages 13 and 15 (16 in September) - both have forms of autism, youngest is high functioning and I hope to see him go to college and on, youngest has Aspergers and I'm still not sure of his future - he's charming and sweet and super smart 1/2 the time and nasty and violent the other half.  Sometimes the future is very unclear.

3. Urban - small city, I grew up in VERY rural Idaho and found my niche in New York City so everything seems rural to me - but our cities about 200,000 so I guess it's urban.

4.  Husby and boys have been gone a week in Quebec and will be back Sunday.  I'm mostly just enjoying alone time with the animals.  And the quiet.  So quiet.

for 11 yrs, I was the director of a group home non-profit organization with 5 homes for autistic children and adults.  I know where you are coming from!!!

I'll pray for strength and patience for you.
