Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period

Well my Mom said they didn't feed her and she wasn't going back.  They sent a menu home and after my sister talked to her she said they didn't give her enough and she still wasn't going back.  I'm not sure one day a week will be enough to see if she will get used to going because she forgets things after a day but then I guess she won't remember that they starved her either.

I'm home again and trying to get back in the swing here.  I got a drive in with Halley and the riding ring mowed and a little done in the garden before the rain started again.  REALLY!!!  I am sick of rain.  I did have a great time at the lake with my sister and family but I am ready to be home for a while.

Nice to have you back!!!   I'm glad you had a good time!!!

It keeps raining here too.  It's a good thing I got a tomato off of my plant earlier because the rain has it drowned and wilty. This is the first year I sat potted plants around instead of planting them. The sun and rain helped me decide what not to buy next year.

Sounds like you are right back on track!

Hey - where did my post go??? Stupid iPad... I have more problems with it and this site....

Sorry to hear you Mom didn't love it.  Hopefully she'll enjoy it after a bit.

I never wake up hungry.  I typically don't get hungry until 10am.  When I do have breakfast it's just because I can, the situation presents itself, and I usually can't eat much at all.  Coffee is usually enough.  Protein coffee carries me a bit longer.

We've all been coming into the office everyday because of an "issue" that happened.  It's just easier for us all to talk, share information and get the work done (that may be disputed by my team).  I would like to work from home tomorrow though.

I was hoping my lunch would carry me through dinner.  Now I'm thinking it's not.  But I betcha it's just irritation, not hunger....

B - protein coffee

L - Potbelly's skinny mushroom melt w/ham on multi-grain bread, bag of baked lays chips (didn't eat them all) skinny Starbucks carmel macchiato venti cold coffee (that may be the irritant).

D - no idea

Vits:  yep

WAter:  hmmm the iced coffee helped....

I'm rarely hungry in the morning.  It even takes me way longer than it should to get my first Protein drink down.  For some reason this morning I woke up hungry and had oatmeal.  It could be just because I noticed it in the cupboard last night.

I tried working from home and boy did I hate it!  DD interviewed for a Financial Directors position last week but decided to stay at the CPA firm she works at now because she can work from home if the kids are sick or she just feels like it and no one ever says a word.

If I stick with Protein I usually make it to the next meal but carbs make me want more and more.

Hello everyone,

Roz, I hope your Mom starts feeling better about going to senior care.  My grandmother fought going like a devilwoman at first and then ended up loving it.  Have her take some snacks with her if she feels they aren't feeding her enough.  Make enough to share, it might help her make some new friends.

Well yesterday was a bad day.  I had no will power and gave in and bought a bag of candy while I was grocery shopping alone (DH usually goes with me because he likes to grocery shop).  I ended up eating 3 Hershey's Sugar Free Special Dark Minatures candies.  I just couldn't seem to stop.  I threw the rest of the bag away.  I felt like crying afterwards.

I have an appointment with my surgeon this afternoon and have a bunch of questions for her.  This time I have them all written down so I don't forget anything.  I'm not sure if I'm on track with my weight loss and I'm uneasy about it.  "I" feel I should be further along.  I log everything I put in my mouth, including the candy last night, track my carbs, fat, sugar and protein, and I get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day even if it's just taking the Toy Poodle Gang for a walk in the evening.  Well I'll find out her opinion soon enough.

I've told everyone I know that is having wls about this site and they should sign up.

Have a great day everyone,

Susan

It took me over a year to get to goal but I learned so much over that time that I think I have a better shot keeping it off than maybe someone who breezes through and reaches goal in months.

It's OK to have a piece of SF candy once in awhile as long as you know you can control it.  I only buy mini bags or single pieces because I don't have much willpower. Good for you for throwing it away if you thought it was going to be trouble and for posting it on M&M.

Sounds Good!

Bless her heart.  I hope she will go back and enjoy it.  The snack idea was a good one.  DGD#1 is suppose to start Pre-K tomorrow.  They went for open house tonight and she met her teacher.  She told her mom and dad she did not want to go tomorrow.  She is so shy.  I'm sure my DIL is going to have a hard time tomorrow morning.
