Excess skin for "lightweights"?
The standard response is "everyone is different and it depends on how old you are, how long you've been obese and where you carry it"
I lost 93 lbs to goal and yes, I had excess skin. But - it was on my tummy and legs. My arms are fine. I had a tummy tuck and that took care of the panni. I gained some weight, and that took care of the legs (hate them now!). There are others who don't have much excess skin at all. And a "lot" is all relative... you can't compare a lightweight to someone who needs to lose 200+ lbs... If you visit the plastic surgery forum, you'll see those that had 20, 30, 40+ lbs of skin removed. Skin is very light... and it takes a lot to add up to that. When I had mine, I think the Dr said it was 1-2 lbs total.
Exercise just fills in muscles and doesn't help skin. You'll see lots of questions about that.
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!

I was aiming to lose 100. Now have lost 110, I do have lose skin in abdomin, arms, thighs and my boobs are deflated LOL
I am having Plastic surgery in the fall. I am getting a tummy tuck (insurance approved) Breast implants (self pay) and maybe thigh lift. The arms I can live with.

Congrats Candy!!
I kinda wish I had something done with my thighs when I had the rest of the work done. Now with my regain, it's all gone there and they're lumpy and bumpy. I could use a little liposuction now, but can't justify the cost.

I have an apt on Sept 10th to consult on my thighs. Maybe a lift. I have heard that thighs hurt a lot :( They have gotten worse in the last 10 lbs since my first PS consult. Wrinkled and droopy :( I'll get a quote and see if I can swing it all at once. Knowing the TT is covered by insurance helps lots. Using credit for the rest so dont want to go to crazy with the amount.

Was funny when I had my consult with your dr he almost talked himself out of a job. Said I didn't need it but I had very droopy thighs. I didn't end up doing it. The cost was too much.

documented skin rashes under the pannus since Oct of 2012, qualify with my insurance. All policies are different. Read your coverage documents. They are long and boring, but may help you get coverage.
