We are moved!

Hit the ground running on Monday morning at 7AM (would have been earlier but couldn't get the truck before 9. Help was due at 11 so once we had the truck, we had to move fast...loading all the boxes we could before they got there to load furniture.

We only had them for 2 hours tho...got all the heavy stuff loaded and then we finished loading the truck. Finished loading at 4 with the cats & dogs. I was driving our car with 7 pissed off, yelling cats in there. Dh had the truck and the two dogs.

I pulled into our new home at 7:30, and got the cats unloaded by the time he pulled in. We also unloaded food and got that put away. Then went in search of supper.

Next morning, we started very early...with a dog walk at 5AM...then breakfast at a local diner, and started unloaded the truck trying to get to the heavy stuff by the time our help arrived at 9AM. We were completely unloaded by 3 but had to wait on cable from 3-5, they were TWO HOURS late...it was 8 before they finished. I ran and got supper.

This morning we took the truck back, waiting on an inspector and then off to the grocery store among other places. We need a toilet handle replaced downstairs, going upstairs is getting OLD fast. But at least we have extra now.

Where we were was officially two bathrooms but one was under renovation the entire time we were there and the toilet can't be installed until the owner gets a plumber in to fix the LEVEL of the flange. The new one is waiting to be installed so she can't complain. It wasn't working when we got it, it still isn't working now.

I have lots of bruises in spite of using vit K...I think I just kept bumping too hard and I will probably lost a toe nail...nice purple bruise under it. And had a boatload of bug bites...mostly mosquitoes. I think I walked 10 MILES yesterday back and forth to the truck but am lucky to HOBBLE 10 feet this morning.

But right now, I am taking a few mins to relax...we do have one spot of NORMAL in the house now..

UGH - I know where you're at.  I've moved WAY too much in the past few years.

Just stay hydrated and rest when you need to.

LOL, staying hydrated yesterday was an issue..Made some infused water today after a trip to the grocery store. The idea of infused water is better than lemonade right now.

Dh took today off...I was on a quest for the coffee pot. Yet even on his "day off" he took stuff to the basement, And fixed the downstairs toilet so we no longer have to go upstairs.

And we started laundry!
