Saturday - just for fun

Well, I totally missed Friday.  Since I got home from my last trip on Tues, I have been confused all week.  Plus tired. but here goes a stab at some fun.

1.  What is your favorite veggie?  What is your favorite way to fix it?

2.  What is your favorite fruit?  What is your favorite way to fix it?

3.  What is your favorite protein?  And how do you fix it?

4.  What are your plans for the weekend?

Veggie?  I guess home grown tomatoes although I love my kale and eggbeaters every morning.  Tomatoes, just slice with salt and pepper and consume.  Kale, I saute it with cooking spray until almost crispy, then add the eggbeaters and cheese and cook like an omlete.  Yummm.  Actually, anything fresh from the garden is pretty wonderful.  I had beets the other night and they were delightful.  I have asperagus beans for tonight.

Fruit?  Anything that is in?  Actually, I love a good peach and haven't had one yet this year.  Blueberries didn't do squat because of all the rain but the blackberries are loving it and I am getting about a pint a day right now.  Other than just eating it, I like to put fruit in muffins or with sweetener to make a syurp for pancakes.

Protein?  Nothing beats a steak.  I have had issues when I ate it too fast but that wasn't my pouches fault.  I also love a good hamburger and now that I make carbquick rolls, I can have one with the works.  Actually, I love all forms of protein, chicken, beef, pork, fish.  Makes it easy to keep my protein levels up.

Weekend?  I want to drive Halley today but then I have to get some work done since I am leaving again tomorrow.  I also have to find some knitting to take with me.  I am about finished with my niece's sweater.  Then tomorrow, off to Smith Mountain Lake in Va for a few days to visit my family.  Looking forward to seeing them but not looking forward to traveling again.

1. If I think of tomatoes as a veggie instead of a fruit, that has to be my favorite too. I like fresh tomato sandwiches and I like fresh tomato based salsa with nachos.

2. Favorite fruit has to be fresh peaches and I just like to eat them right off the tree. I also love berries such as blueberries and strawberries.

3. Favorite protein...too many to count.  lol

4. Plans for the weekend include another massage.

1.  Raw spinach with olive oil and balsamic vinegar - yum

2.  Cherries as they come.  I overdid strawberries early post op, so sadly it's a higher carb fruit but I do love variety.

3.  Chicken - oven roast or chicken salad, both are yum.

4.  Saturday's just about finished for me.  I've done a little tidying/house work and used my microdermabrasion kit which arrived this morning - you're advised to use the device on a very low setting to start with so it's a bit early to give fair feedback on it.

Sunday dying my roots (yep, starting to have to work at keeping my original color) and then lunching at a restaurant with DH and my parents.

Hi Price! A little late to the game here.

1.  What is your favorite veggie?  What is your favorite way to fix it?  I'm really loving sauteed zucchini and squash right now

2.  What is your favorite fruit?  What is your favorite way to fix it?  I don't eat a lot of fruit - but LOVE a fresh, vine grown watermelon

3.  What is your favorite protein?  And how do you fix it? Steak - rare to medium rare

4.  What are your plans for the weekend?  Yesterday the weather was yucky so I went to the mall shopping.  Found some good deals on some skirts and dresses.  Yea.. just what I need - more clothes!!  LOL  Today is a motorcycle ride to Harpers Ferry WV.  Meeting a friend there for lunch then hopefully a nice ride after. Oh, before I do that I have to fix the hole that's in the roof of my convertible...

1.  What is your favorite veggie?  What is your favorite way to fix it?

I like so many veggies.  I love a good salad with lots of fresh veggies mixed in it.

2.  What is your favorite fruit?  What is your favorite way to fix it? Right now I'm eating lots of blueberries - our bushes were loaded this year.  I love watermelon, strawberries and canteloupe.

3.  What is your favorite protein?  And how do you fix it?  I like a good hamburger(less the bun) with all the fixings, but actually eat more chicken than any type of meat.

4.  What are your plans for the weekend?  Well I'm late answering this.  I went and kept my little grandbaby yesterday morning and DH and I went to Sam's and picked up some things then came home and I had to work.  Still not finished - fixing to start back today.
