Underwear Question ( <:) )
I have a TMI question about underwear. I have always worn granny pants. Wal-mart specials....5 pairs of cotton pants for $ 5.00. I now want to get some good support panties for my excess skin. Can any of my new WLS Friends give me some suggestions? I have looked at Dr. Reys'....but at this time he is a little too expensive for me. Alternatives please ? Thanks to all of you !
I have heard ppl say dollar general and I think Target, have some support wear for lower prices. I personally just wear regular bikinis now. (and tuck the skin in LOL) I have TT scheduled for Oct 10th if all goes as planned. :)
Glad to see you found us, everyone here is great support and NO drama

Hi Michelle.
I agree with Candy, target is a great place to start. Couple of things - look for thicker cotton if you like cotton. I'm guessing that Walmart had very thin cotton which wouldn't support you much. Early on I went with Jockey or Hanes, whatever was on sale. But don't buy too much - you'll need smaller ones in no time. And experiment with other fabrics. Often times you can get these in singles. Not that you asked :) I wore bikinis before the surgery and after.

35 pounds of regain!!! 30 lost!!! Just a little more to go.
I like the boy cut ones. I think they hide the panus and some of the loose skin around the thighs better than a bikini cut.

I found some nice support underwear at Walmart. Target is another place to look. I also found some at Kohls, but unless you have a good coupon they can be pricey. KMart also - but I found that it's hard to find support in a size small or medium. Guess the manufacturers figure if you are a S/M you don't need them!!

I like to get a camisole that is made of a stretchy materials(I buy this at Walmart or Target) and tuck it into my panties. I like the thigh high bikini cut. It helps hold my stomach in.
I can't stand anything too tight on me. I had bought some of the more expensive things to hold you in and couldn't wear them because I felt like they were suffocating me!!
