Stage 3 - real food (albeit pureed)
Oh how I wish I had that restriction now almost 5 years out! There are days I can barely eat, and some days I can't feel the fullness. I absolutely loved it. I know people mourn not being able to eat large quantities, but I enjoy it.
Sounds like you're doing well and have the right attitude. I HATED scrambled eggs prior to surgery. After I ate them all the time. I found out I like them the way I cook them, not others. Also like cheese and salsa on them - yum! When you can start mixing some finely chopped peppers for taste and color. I think I may have to try the cottage cheese - never tried that. Something else I loved during yoru phase was egg drop soup. I need to find a good recipe for it and make it for myself
3 weeks after my surgery I was eating Sashimi. Chewed it into oblivion and was very surprised how stringy it was. But, it was good.
Oh - and another Michigan LW! Glad to see you! What kind of Greek Yogurt did you eat?

yummm sashimi! I'm supposed to puree the life out of everything. I've mixed cottage cheese and eggs for years, but wouldn't mind a bit more cheese on it. I had the band prior and loved the first year of restriction - which is why I went ahead with the RNY - after about 2 years the restriction was completely unpredictable and didn't do much for me. I am hoping this one holds out longer. Actually it was the Dannon's fit and lively vanilla w/2x time protein. Usually I go with okiros but I don't think I was paying attention. It was very good. Not supposed to have fruit in my yoghurt, but vanilla is my favorite anyhow.

During the puree phase - I never pureed - I just chewed the living daylights out of it and did a good job with it.
The reason I was asking about the yogurt is because of sugar - be careful of it with RNY. It may not take you much to dump. I always got the 0% fat plain and mixed stuff in to make it taste better (I think it tastes like glue alone). Some things I did was to make a SF cheesecake. Take your plain yogurt, find SF cheesecake pudding - mix it in, take some no sugar added cherry pie filling and put it on top - yum! Another thing I found I like, which may be too much for you at this point since your tastebuds are on full alert - is to take the yogurt and mix the Nectar grapefruit or fuzzy navel protein powder in with it.... very yummy and stocked full of protein. It's quite strong though, so it might be too much at this point. I also used Crystal light and unflavored protein at your point.
Your restriction will work well for you for several years Just don't overeat and stretch your pouch... stop when you feel full regardless of how much food you still have on your plate. I really don't care about leaving food if I can't eat it.

Ditto what Jody said ..just be real careful at this healing stage not to stretch the pouch and most importantly the openings into and out of it . You're like a growing baby right now ... if U eat little tiny quantities U will heal with a little tiny restrictive pouch ... if U eat the extra bites ... you may struggle with regain and craving more food than U need later ...
