Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!     

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.

Have you found you are treated better by sales clerks than you were when you were heavy? Well this weekend it was a reverse situation but it made me feel uncomfortable and a little angry.  Do you have a Christopher Bank and a CJ Bank where you live?  They have identical clothes but the first one is for regular sizes and the second one has plus sizes.  I was shopping for my Mom and I walked into the Plus size shop and without even greeting me the salesclerk said "I think you are in the wrong store". You would think they would ask you if you are looking for a gift for someone instead of blurting out that you don't belong in their store.  Then when I took the shirt back for another size without even looking at it another clerk said "you probably bought this at the other store". When they have the exact same styles why wouldn't she take it out of the bag and at least look at before opening her mouth. If I was still heavy would they tell me I was in the wrong store if I had walked into the regular size store?

What a crappy experience Roz. Their attitudes of course reflect more of themselves than of you. In fact, you weren't part of it at all. I'm sure you are running back to that store as soon as possible :)

Today I'm taking a ride to Savers with my mom, I have a date on Tuesday and I need some capris that fit since my most recent jump to size 12. I'm excited about the shopping more than the date. For the date I'm just nervous,

L: turkey and cheese on a deli thin
D: franks and beans and corn on the cob (aside from the corn, I'm not interested and will not be spending my precious calories on franks and beans
S: yogurt

A Date and size 12...that's exciting! 

I like frank and beans....LOL  So much brown sugar though a 1/2 cup is my limit. DH has been wanting corn and keeps reminding me that the corn wagons are sitting around town.  I told him how could I miss them....They have red/white roof tarps. Sweet corn and real butter....I'm going to hold off as long as I can.

At least it happened the way round telling you that you're not big enough - it'd be quite an insult to be told you're too big to go into a regular store, but as they say you can never be too rich or too skinny (Karen Carpenter like extremes excepted - I'm in no danger of that any time soon BTW).

I cracked.  I had some Doritos and cookies.  I don't get how you can eat so little!!  I barely cracked a BMI of 30 and I gotta say this ain't easy even with the almighty DS!! :-S

Knowing you cracked is a good sign....LOL  

haha...I never did eat much just the wrong things.    I would eat carbs, cookies and cake instead of protein. Those things go down so easy and put on the weight.  Every day I hold off eating food as long as I can.  Protein takes me a lot longer to eat and fills me up quick so I  can't eat much at a time.  As soon as I feel hungry then I start on my Protein drinks and liquids until it's time for the next planned Protein snack or meal.

Last night on the way home from DH's ballgame he wanted a Pepsi and I grabbed a mini bag (1 serving) of combos (pretzels and nacho cheese).  I ate the whole bag!  Of course I couldn't have my popcorn when I got so then I was really mad at myself.

Hi Roz,

I have always like to shop there.  I had the same thing happen to me after I had lost over 100 pounds.  I went in with my DD and she instructed me to the other store!  I just laughed it off.  Maybe they have just had people come in and be confused and don't want to miss a sale because they can't find their sizes.... who knows.

I blew it big time last night, but today is another day and I'm back on today.

I ate a mini bag of Combos on the way home from the game last night.  I didn't have any quilt which is surprising but then I was so mad at myself because I couldn't have my planned popcorn.
