Post-op diet question - feeling queasy

So I've been feeling queasy lately  - not quite nauseous,  and I think it's because I'm drinking my proteins in a row w/o water between - could that be right?  I'm on my second glass of protein mix today - but I noticed it yesterday too - then I thought the broth was too rich.  Did anyone else feel like you need to space out the protein, too much at once feels like too much?

I am two months out and still get a queasy feeling.  Don't believe it is from drinking proteins in a row, just that your new pouch is still adjusting.  Some days are better than others, hang in there.

This is where I'd  normally chew on some saltines to settle this feeling.  Any ideas of what works?  I've been sipping water and my husband just made me some "snow" (chopped ice).

I was told to eat saltines!  Don't go crazy, but nibble on them.  That and I was given some pills - anti nausea.    It does happen less frequently, but mornings are especially bad for me.  Can't decide if I want to eat or drink.  But definitely not pregnant!

What diet phase are you on now?  We were on clear liguid, then full liguid, then soft, etc.  Each for about 10 days.  If you are having nauesa, take your meds for that or get some.  I would not suggest saltines at this point unless that is what your Dr told you to do.  You need to be working on getting in about an ounce of fluid every 15 minutes.  I did better with room temp or warm stuff than cold.  Everything had too much flavor and I thinned it all out with more water than was called for but that worked for me.  but I may not be the best example because I never had any problems with nausea or any foods as I added them but I also stuck firmly to my Drs plan.

I'm still on clear liquids - the chopped ice (like snow) is really working and I feel tons better.  Thanks all for advice.  Everything is too strong and sweet - although I can't say that's post-surgery - I was like that before.  I'm not worrying about protein today, just liquid.  I've been really good so not too worried about being lax one day.

I loved the unjury chicken soup during my liquids stages.  It gave me a break from sweet stuff and I could make it weak or strong, so it tasted right.  Once we could have full liquids, I added unflavored protein to creamed soups and that was wonderful.

soon you will be over all this stuff and looking back at lots of pounds gone.  This is such a tiny amount of time in relation to the rest of your life.
