LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF TO YOU.

Hello Lightweights board,

I know you are all wondering where I came from and why I am posting on your board.    My name is Vivian Prouty.....I am a OH Support Group Leader ( Lose It 4 Life ) is the name of my OH Support Group.   I live in Fort Worth, Texas and I post monday - friday on various message boards trying to encourage and support others.    I am going on 8 yrs. post op RNY and lost 140 lbs.   I have had a small re-gain due to mega stress in my life but that is OK....sometimes life does tend to get in our way on your life journey.   I am here if any of you need support and encouragement.   I am for the most part a extremely positive person.    I just thought that I would tell you something about me.   As for my family....I have been married to my husband for 37 yrs.   I have 3 sons....32, 27, and 22 and my oldest is married and I have a almost year old granddaughter Tigerlily.    SO now you know about me and my life.   Oh I am a homemaker so that is why I am on OH so much besides the fact that I care about others and their success on this journey.   Please feel free to contact me at any time.    Thank you SO much for welcoming me to this board and responding to my posts.   I look forward to getting to know some of you.    Have a blessed day !!

Welcome to the LW board, Vivian.

We've kinda created a support group here as well...being LW's is a different kettle of fish than the average WLS patient. We like that here, we represent all surgeries without the old surgery wars.

Thanks for the welcome Liz.   You got it right with the surgery wars.   IMHO...they ALL work...some just work better for some than others.    It's kinda sad when you go to a board and they tell you that they don't want you there.    Thanks to Huneypie I am here.   She told me ya'll were wonderful.    I love doing the daily posts but I do take saturday and sunday off from my daily posting ( I do sometimes get on OH then though ).    Thanks again.

Welcome, Vivian.  this is the friendliest board on OH by far (well, I haven't been on all).  We support whoever stops by and if they like us, they are welcome to stay.  Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Thank you Price S.    It is nice to be welcomed to a board.   Not that some of the other boards haven't welcomed me.   As a OH Support Group leader we are required ( as of 2013 ) to do postings on some of the boards.   I try to do quite a few.   I am a very grateful person for what I have been blessed by so I do a daily grateful post and a Motivational quote post...because I LOVE motivational quotes.    Thank you so much for the warm welcome.

Hi Vivian!  I've seen you on the other boards, but I tend to stay to myself unless I'm on the LW board or one of my private boards I'm a member of.
