Going Bridesmaid dress shopping with DD#3, girls, and future MIL. I hope it goes well!!!  13 yr. old DGD is putting up a fuss about the type of dresses her mom is picking.  She was a long dress, sandals, and a headband.  We are hoping she will cooperate and not give her Mom a hard time since we are going.

Hoping the 13yo doesn't give you grief.  Such a volatile age....

I have been SO busy here in MI lately I haven't had time to do much posting.  My sister is moving in today and I'm getting the house/garage ready.  I also have BATS in my attic and had the Critter Control guy come this morning to tellme how much it is going to cost to get rid of them (ugh) - that's SO disgusting.  And I had someone come today to give me their opinion on insulating my crawl space along with other things to make my house more energy efficient.  Had someone over 2 days ago and also last night for insulation.  I just don't have enough time here to get everything I need to do - done!

I ate all the Triscuits that were in the house - so they're gone now... I need to decarb as I can tell I'm "carbinated".. lol.  Want more carbs to feed the carb monster.

Not sure how my menu will look for today.

B - just coffee - with all the activity this morning i was surprised when I saw it was 11:30 already

L - leftover mushroom/cheese/garlic appetizer from last night.  Very good but very rich... and there was a TON of cheese on it..

D - not sure - see what my sister wants to do

Vits:  yes

Water:  working on it.

I got what sounds to me like a shocking quote for blown in cellulose insulation for this house .  I paid just a couple of hundred dollars like 10 years ago admittedly for insulating a much smaller home ... but almost ten thousand dollars ?  this is jjus for the ceiling , roof space and walls ... not below or the outbuilding which also needs insulating ... YIKES .  I HAVE toi get it done ... heating and cooling bills are totally out of control .

What do you think Jody ?

I'd get a couple of  more quotes.  I've had 2 folks here and both have different ways of attacking the problems.  I'm waiting for the "estimates" - that will tell me for sure... my house was built in '68 and is a energy ***** really... I need to do something about it and with all that was "told" to me, I'm looking at 10K - I have a crawl space so it is "encapsulating" it along with soffits for the roof, new doors, etc.  I'm guessing but as he was talking I was doing the math in my head.

Also - I'm sure it depends on where you're at as far as locality.  Different prices for different places/environments.

But yea, 10K for what you're having done (depending on the size of the house) may be about right.  Honestly, I'd pay a little more to know it was done right versus saving 1-2K and having a poor job done...

but yea - a few more estimates with how they'd handle your situation and you will be more informed.

Thanks Jody .  The prices for cellulose insulation have gone up so many fold ... but it IS really nontoxic fire resistant AND totally worth it .  After I had my NJ house done .. my heating and cooling bills were practically nothing .  Even now that house feels  totally cool and cavelike  in the summer heat and warm in the winter just from the sunshine

I remember wanting something very different than what I wore to my sister's wedding.  I guess that is part of it.  Interesting, when I went to the wedding last weekend, all the bridesmaids had bought their own dresses, everyone in dark navy blue but each one very different..  It looked very nice and they all got dresses they like and will wear again.

First day home and it is suppose to rain, been sprinkling off and on.  Guys stayed home from golf which means they are underfoot.  I haven't been to the garden but I know I will have squash, cukes and probably beans even though I picked beans yesterday.  I need to freeze greens, kale and chard because there is no way we can eat all of it.  Went to the grocery and need to unpack the trailer and finish the laundry.  Wanted to ride but don't think the weather will cooperate.  End of vacation hang over and I didn't drink a single adult beverage!

decaf protein coffee  33g
protein muffins
carbquick roll, turkey bacon, tomato
lemon tea protein  13g
cheese stick, turkey pepperoni, cukes
chicken parmesan, squash
protein shake  33g

Price - my daughter was just in a wedding and they did that.  they all had to do a certain color, but the dress was in whatever style they wanted.  I do like that idea.

I'm so jealous Price !  I really messed up planting the vegetable garden this year with all the Sandy recovery and school ending   Other than few measly tomatoes, green peppers , peas herbs, cherries rasberries  and eggplants I haven't harvested much ..that  doesn't actually SOUND that bad does it ?  I suppose I'm spoiled rotten lol....this is the time of year I expect to be harvesting brimming basketfuls of yummy choices ...
