Looks good Susan.

Do you have problems taking your vitamins or is this just today that they are giving you trouble?

I tried the Quinoa a couple of times, but it would really swell in my pouch and make me so uncomfortable.  How do you cook yours?

I take Celexa, Actigall and Atenolol along with my vitamins.  I've tried the chewable type and gag on them to the point of being sick.  I'm currently using the Nature Made Full Strength Minis Multi for Her, the Nature Made D3 1000 (dry), B1 and calcium petites.  The vitamins and meds have always (since surgery) made me sick to my stomach.  So I start my day feeling ill and it lasts all day.

I eat only a tiny bit of quinoa, maybe 1/2 teaspoon just enough for the texture and pop when I bite into a seed.  I cook it like rice, in low fat chicken broth until the broth is absorbed, the little "tails" appear and the quinoa is tender.  I cleared it with my surgeon and nutritionist prior to trying it.  So far it hasn't given me any problems (knock on wood).

Most days I have to force myself to eat or I would live on protein drinks. The ground turkey, quinoa and cottage cheese is about the only thing that really sets well with me that and DH's homemade spaghetti sauce made with ground turkey.  I've been eating a little baby spinach and canned green beans.  Any other veggies and I'm sick as a dog.

This surgery hasn't been easy for me or on me but I so love the results and would do it all over again.

I think she is feeling better tonight.

Your menu looks good, but don't you usually eat more than this?

Plenty more but it was so hot and I was so thirsty I just wasn't in the mood for more (which is very unusual).

Hi Jody,

I love sausage/gravy.  I bought some of the Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage crumbles and cannot tell the difference in it and real pork sausage.  I use it on lots of things.  I bet I could make some gravy with the carbquik that I use to bake stuff with.

I didn't have much of a plan today either.  It usually makes for a bad day for me, but I actually ended up pretty good today.

Are you in Virginia now?
