WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.
Stuck food so I'm not eating today. I talked to a clueless PA (she is new) at the Surgeon's office who just wanted to lecture me and not listen. She told me to drink liquids for the next 3 days. I started taking Papaya and on line it says to drink hot liquids. I'm not in any pain at all. In fact I didn't even realize I was still stuck from last night. My Protein drink went down fine but the foamies started after the first bite of my lunch.

It's so frustrating when you get a PA or DR that won't listen. Heck - you're almost 5 years out, I think she would take that into account and listen.... she may learn something.
Yea I agree, stick to drinks. I bet tomorrow you'll feel better. I know when I do something like that and get a groucy pouch, liquids are the only things that work.
I got out of my protein coffee routine and will get back on it tomorrow. I think it's mainly because I've been eating a protein filled breakfast. When I have my protein coffee I consider that my breakfast.
B - scrambled eggs and bacon - coffee
L - 1/2 of a sweet and sour chicken wrap (leftover from yesterday). Had a ton of chicken in it - was very good. Just wish more places offered wheat tortillas instead of flour.
D - not sure. Lunch was late - I should be done for the evening. but if not, I've got leftover piece of steak and grilled veggies that need to be eaten.

My Gastro Dr's office called me back again. The girls said she keeps thinking about me. She wanted to see me tomorrow but my granddaughter is having surgery tomorrow and I have to be there. Hopefully it will be gone tomorrow.
The PA told me to stay away from chicken and eat scrambled eggs. I told her I get stuck on those more that anything else. I don't think she believed me. One time they were stuck for a day and a half before I got them to come up. If they didn't dissolve I can't imagine this chicken dissolving.
It looks like you are doing a good job not snacking.

Hope you are feeling better.
Last night I went with DH to a local roller skating rink. I haven’t been on skates since HS. I made it around the rink twice (holding DH’s hand and the wall) without falling. I have to learn about balance and center of gravity all over again.
Just another day in paradise here at work. Going to the Co-Op after work to get some groceries. I think I’ll pick up some Papaya Enzyme while I’m there. Do I get the chewable? How do I use it?

Roz, hope you are feeling better by now! I got a letter about my annual labs and it said my protein was low(I have no idea what the numbers are yet), that I need to eat more protein and maybe add a protein shake-LOL- I have atleast 3 sometimes 4 a day.

Paella made w brown rice,a potful of organically grown mint leaves and giant organic Fava beans ... fresh shrimp and local mussels and Bluepoint oysters .. fresh farm grown organic yellow raspberries and cherries for dessert ... delicious !
lunch was shrimp salad made w fat free mayonnaise .. snack was 4 slices of fat free cheddar cheese
adult indulgence ..big glass of red wine at 5 pm
ice cream sandwich ( skinny cow ) as nitetime snack
