Hi Vanessa,

Welcome to the LW Board.  Good luck on figuring out what you need for you.

Go as low as you can go, but don't worry about goals right now.  Set small goals so you can achieve them and not get frustrated.

I would ask him what type surgeries he does, what his complication rate is, what surgery he would recommend for you.  I would also want to know what type follow up care his office has.  If they just do surgery and then you are on your own - be careful.  You will need follow up care no matter what type surgery you have.  You will need either a support group you can attend or find a good on-line support group(like us!!).  It really helps if you connect with others that have had WLS and make it a priority.  Find out what requirements your surgeon has before he will do surgery.  Example:  Pre-Op Diet, nutrition classes

I am very excited about my appointment.  

My friend had gastric sleeve surgery done by this surgeon in December and she has lost 70 pounds and looks great.
