Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.

WOW...it's so great to wake up to the sun and birds singing.  I would love to live some place where it is always warm...not hot....warm Is there any place like that?  If we didn't have our girls and grandkids DH and I would be snowbirds and go to FL during the cold winter months.

Confession Time.......I haven't been doing so well with my eating.  Other than the Angel Food cake my DD made me for my birthday I haven't really been eating anything bad but I have been snacking and taking bites and I can see a habit forming.  I've got to stop it now before it gets even more out of hand than it is.

Hi Roz!  Snacking is an easy habit to get back into... I definitely know!!

My eating wasn't too bad yesterday, sorry I didn't post.  I did have a piece of pizza though... wanted 2 but had just 1.  That's what I love about my tool - I really like I can eat only 1 piece and am ok with it.

Kids are closing on their new house today.  While I'm not happy at how far away they will be, I'm glad they can get moved and their life back to some resemblance of order.  My sister closes on her old house next week, which means she'll be moving into my house until she closes on her new one.

today - hmm... let's see...

B - coffee and 1 scrambled egg w/cheese and salsa.  I tried a protein coffee but my protein clumped.  I have NO idea why some days it's just fine, and others it does that... and I mix it the same each time.

S - chunk of pickled bologna and cheese

L - chicken thigh (maybe-we'll see how hungry I am)

D - going out - chicken and beef shish kabob

Vits:  yes

Water:  need to get working on it...

So proud of you for not eating the 2nd piece just because you wanted it.  The work day is almost over and I managed to not snack on anything.  I have to admit my stomach is hungry which I don't feel very often. Now if I can get through dinner and  then hold off until my planned night time popcorn.

How exciting for your DD and family!!  Are they buying or building?  How far away are they?  Is it closer to their work?  It would have to be a true emergency before I could live with my sister....haha.

It sounds like you are doing good Jody.  Are they scales still moving down?

I woke up to a shower but it stopped and the sun came out.  Got a ride in on Poppy   before the storms come back.  We are in a flash flood area but have been lucky and have only gotten showers but none of the really heavy stuff.  The garden loves it.  Dinner out tonight with friends of DH from Special Olympics.  I haven't met them but should be fun.  I got to pick the resterant and it should be good and WLS friendly.

decaf protein coffee  33g  (not the best, I put the wrong protein in and had Chocolate peanutbutter coffee, hummmm)
eggbeaters, cheese, kale
Lemon tea protein  13g
leftover beef stirfry
caribean cooler protein 13g
carbquick cinnamon rolls
????
protein shake  33g

Price, I have mixed up my Cappuccino protein with my lemon tea protein and mixed them in the wrong thing.  I tried to drink the tea with the cappuccino once but just couldn't stand it.  Mine are both on the counter in glass containers I try to keep them in the same order, but sometimes DH wipes the counter down and moves things around....

Hope yours tasted better than the one I did.

oh my....I can't imagine Chocolate PB coffee!  I haven't been out all day but DH says it's about 88 and it hasn't rained.  He got a lot done from the list...even hung the bedding out on the line and then redid the bed before he laid down  for his nap...LOL.

Have you tried the carbquik muffins yet....yummy frozen and a lot less work!

Sounds Like a Great Protein Day!!!!!

Actually, it is the muffins I do instead of the roll.  It is easier and just as good if not better. I'm lout of both cheddar rolls and cinnamon muffins and need to bake more before I leave for Blowing Rock on Sunday.

The coffee wasn't horrible, just not good.  I am just too cheap to throw it away and make more, LOL

Hi Roz,

My parents are now snowbirds and have been for about 20 years now.  They love it.  I didn't think they were going to do it again this year, but my dad has already signed them up to work at some churches in Florida again starting in October.  My mom is not real happy about it, she would rather just go and enjoy.

I get caught up in the late night snacking and have to really watch it.  Right now there is nothing to snack at my house except dry roasted peanuts.  It can get out of hand really fast for me too.

B:  Protein Decaf Coffee
S:  Decaf Coffee

I snack more at work than I do at home.  The bad part is that I bring the crap to work so in my mind they are planned snacks.  Today I didn't bring anything but a can of soup for lunch   I'm actually hungry enough to eat dinner when I get home.

I used the last of my muffins and PB cookies but I'm debating if I should even make them again.

Sounds Good Linda!

All year summer, that'd be awesome ;-)

I hear you on the Angel Food cake and I can understand how Eve got in trouble, you'd think with all the stuff that DSers can have I'd be happy but I want carbs.  Seriously it's coz they're the forbidden fruit and I guess we all like variety!! :-(

I did better with my protein today, thanks mainly to the high protein lunch - I've been a little remiss recently and feel I'm reaching protein 'fatigue'... thank God for protein shakes though ;-)

B Protein shake 35
S 1/2 Protein bar 16
L Chicken curry (no rice) 48
S Protein shake 35
D Chicken Kiev 26

Protein: 160
