Thanks everyone! I have been having a rough couple of weeks thinking about being 60 but now that it's here I need to pull it together! The number doesn't bother me it's the future that does. I can't quit thinking of all of the things I'm probably going to miss out on like our youngest grand child's wedding in 30 years (haha), but I need to start focusing on what I am experiencing now...ball games, playgrounds, popsicle messes, hugs, and kisses.
This is what DD#3 wrote to me on facebook.
"Happy birthday to the undeniable best mom in the world.! Still to this day....at the very young age of 60 you are super mom!! And now not only are you super mom you are super grandma too! When someone needs something, especially a problem solved, you are the one they turn too!! I don't know where we would all be without you! You are the glue of our family and we are blessed everyday to have you as a mom and grandma to our children!! I love you mom!!!!"

It was sweet of her but the part about me solving problems is kind of an issue between us. She told me recently that sometimes she doesn't tell me things because immediately I will start coming up with suggestions on how to solve it. I think that's her way of apologizing to me.
