I had a hydrostatic dunk test done, which is supposed to be accurate within 1 percent. I'm not sure how accurate the scales are, but it does give you a ballpark number. 20 percent is good and would mean that you have about 20 pounds of fat. If you ever have a dunk test done, this is considered very accurate. Another accurate test is the Bod Pod test.

Gail, I know many DS'er's need more than a single dosage...Many of us take two a day.

I may need to try a different medication. The endoscopy showed a hiatal hernia, decreased motility, and the opening between the esophagus and stomach is open.i I need to follow up with pcp to determine the most appropriate course of treatment.

The hernia seems to be something that has developed since surgery.

Thank you for your feedback.

I hope you get it sorted out...sorry about the hernia.

Back years ago, my PCP started me on prilosec. (this was back when they were all prescription not OTC). It didn't help but prevacid and protonix did. I had to fight my insurance company to get it covered...they ONLY wanted me to use prevacid. It got even worse when prevacid went OTC (even before the other two did). They REALLY DID NOT want to cover it then.

So yes, it could also mean a change in which one you take.

thank you for the feedback. Did you take prontonix and Prevacid at the same time, or were they separate trials?

Even with these issues, which are treatable, I would do the surgery again in a heartbeat.

I started with prilosec (prescription). It did not help so my doctor moved me to prevacid. The next year the formularies changed and they would not even consider prevacid so he moved me to protonix, which thankfully helped but they were one after another not at the same time.

NOW I get the generic prevacid at Costco since they are all over the counter now.

Southernlady,

What kind of  fat bombs are you using?  Could you post the recipe or tell me where it's at?  I'm almost seven years out and I wish I could lose about 10 lbs to get back down to my lowest weight.  It's fantastic what you are doing!  I thought maybe I could give the fat bombs a try and see if it works for me!  Thanks!

Karey, I'm on my mobile phone and it won't let me copy/paste from where I posted it in FaceBook. When I get home tomorrow I'll post it for you.

I make two kinds:
Chocolate/peanut butter
Lemon
Gonna try orange and a savory one at some point.
