Just for Fun Friday
I went through times when my hot/cold was just broken. I would be hot when I really shouldn't be and cold when I really shouldn't be. Not related to menepause because that was many many years ago. I did level out for the most part. I am more heat tolerant now but not so cold either.
when do you leave on your trip? Hope it is a good one.

Thank you for telling me about the hot/cold issue. I'm happy to know it will most likely correct itself later down the road. For now, I keep lighting a fire in the wood stove if it falls below 70, and don't feel warm till it hits 80. Which is silly, because it is 75 outside. Poor dog doesn't know where to go to cool down.
I am heading to North Dakota for a family reunion of about 200 Norwegians. My sister is meeting me there. She is bringing the Viking horns…. Yea, this event has all the hall marks of being frightening memorable.
1. This is the first of summer. What do you do different in the summer from other months?
I am strange in that I used to love summer and the warm weather and now I prefer the colder weather. Has more to do with menopause then weight. I become so uncomfortable in the heat. It is harder for me to cool down then it is for me to warm up. That said, I do like being outside riding my bike when the weather is nice.
2. How as WLS changed your summers?
Not much since I always wore as little as possible when it's hot. Maybe I don't look quite as bad as I did but with my excess skin it's kind of a toss up. I wish I could say I was more comfortable in the heat but as I said, I have less heat tolerance now then I used to when I was heavier.
3. What is your favorite summer protein food? Drink?
I do change from hot protein drinks to cold protein drinks when the weather is warm. I make my own frappe type drinks and I love iced coffee type drinks. That is the only difference in my protein preference but I love summer fruits, especially berries and melon. I also like the fact that there are more BBQ's and potlucks and picnics and I get to see people I don't see often.
4. Plans for the weekend?
Work and then bike riding afterwards. Of course it's supposed to be nice over the weekend after being cold and rainy all week when I had more time to ride but I did manage to get in a few long rides in the last week and I will be able to when I get home from work since I get off at 5 and it stays light out until about 9 now.
Also, tomorrow is my daughter's last day of childhood. She turns 18 on Sunday. We went out to eat the last few days but she is working all weekend, too, so nothing planned for the weekend for her birthday.

1. I put the sun roof back on the Subaru and pretend I'm still driving my MGB.
2. I can be outside and not melt into a puddle.

1. This is the first of summer. What do you do different in the summer from other months?
I go OUTSIDE. I hated outside before WLS. I could hardly stand to walk from the house to the car. Now I love the heat outside.
2. How has WLS changed your summers?
I wear less clothes and tighter fitting ones - where I used to wear big baggy things. I still wear shorts over my bathing suit because of the skin on my legs - but I'm pretty sure I look a lot better than before WLS.
3. What is your favorite summer protein food? Drink?
I like to mix up a Protein Milk Shake. 3/4 cup of Hood Calorie Count Down Milk, 1/2 - 3/4 scoop of Protein(whatever kind I want), add crushed ice and blend in my magic bullet.
4. Plans for the weekend?
I traveled back from my parents and got unpacked, washed clothes and watched TV most of yesterday afternoon resting to come back to work today...
