Just for Fun Friday
1. This is the first of summer. What do you do different in the summer from other months?
Because I garden, I eat a lot more "right from the garden" veggies and fruit. I spend more time outside, both in the garden and with the ponies.
2. How has WLS changed your summers?
I can be much more active in the heat. I used to hate the heat, not it doesn't bother me nearly as much. I can wear skimpier clothes although I still cover to my knees and elbows unless I am in the pool or at home because of the skin issues.
3. What is your favorite summer protein food? Drink?
I love chicken and tuna salad. I have been making them with half mayo and half greek yogurt. I even use canned chicken to cut down on cooking. Lots of celery, onions, banana pepper to bring up the fiber.
For drinks, I find the fruit flavored and lemon tea from Syntrax to be great with lots of ice and water and a tube of generic crystal light. But I also still have my blended shake everynight before bed. Nothing special, usually chocolate with maybe a splash of SF syurp or mint cookie.
4. Plans for the weekend?
This is my last weekend with nothing planned for a while. Then life gets pretty busy in July. Looking forward to having the guys play golf and having the house to myself. May go yarn shopping for something to knit for my neice. I am getting towards the end of my 4th sweater for me knitted this year. It's much more fun now that I am small and it sure goes faster. And of course, I will ride and drive ponies.

I shave my legs :)
2. How has WLS changed your summers?
I can definitely tolerate the heat better. I'm willing to put on a bathing suit, even if it's just a halter and swim shorts.

I live on Crystal Light Lemon Iced Tea. Helps keep me hydrated
4. Plans for the weekend?
This weekend is the big moving sale. I'm optimistic that I'll sell all of my furniture and housewares. Only problem is that my negotiating skills need help. When its in my interest I stumble. Funny that if I'm negotiating for others I'm great.
Happy weekend :)

I actually spend more time inside...mosquitos LOVE me and this time of year is NOT my favorite.
2. How has WLS changed your summers?
Other than skimpier clothes, it really hasn't. I do tolerate the heat a bit better.
3. What is your favorite summer protein food? Drink?
Tuna with lots of mayo. LEMONADE by the gallon...
4. Plans for the weekend?

I read something the other day, don't remember where, about folks on B12 have fewer problems with mosquitos. I had stopped taking mine but started again as prevention. We have very few here but I bet you will have them down the mountain too.

I would take B12 but do not need it...even without supplementing that one, I run over 2000. Have for years.
Not sure why they like my blood and yes, I know they are all over. I'm hoping in a regular yard (not this current JUNGLE) that I can plant some stuff that mosquitos do not like.

1. This is the first of summer. What do you do different in the summer from other months?
Spend more time in my yard and at the dog park. And I shave my legs during this time also. That was funny.
2. How has WLS changed your summers?
I can do so much more of everything. I also am very cold now. I start the wood stove it it is below 70 degrees. Hhhmmm. I'm going to check the thermastat - maybe it really isn't 70 degrees in here.
3. What is your favorite summer protein food? Drink?
I love it all. Never met a protein I didn't like. I find I don't like fats too much, which is bad for a DSer.
My favorite drink is Diet Cranberry diluted by half with water. And my ISO Sensation 93 protein drinks.
4. Plans for the weekend?
Packing and preparing for my road trip with my dog. Putting tools away. Getting my new hair cut re-cut - it's not working right.
