Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.
Have you noticed you don't turn to food when life seems like it's falling apart as much?
On Sunday our ho****er tank leaked all over the basement floor and then on the same day I went down to take my clothes out of the dryer and they were still wet, on Thursday the repairman is coming to look at my refrigerator (which is the 3rd time), had my van in the shop last night and it needs a part that has to be ordered, and then to top of the evening my DH informed me that we need a new dehumidifier. No lie....this has all happened since Sunday! I new I shouldn't have missed church on Sunday....LOL....!!!!!!!!!!
But seriously....I added the as much because before WLS I would have drove to McDonalds and stopped on the way home for a Banana Flip cake which I would washed down with a Diet Pepsi (diet makes it not seem as bad....haha. I am definitely stressed but the worst I did yesterday was give in to some SF Hershey baking chips and buy myself a hanging plant.

Wow Roz,
That's a lot to handle in such a short period of time. Good for you for not giving into food. I'm the same, if anything when I'm stressed, I don't eat at all. Hoping things turn around for you soon.
Got a call back from a company I interviewed with yesterday. They are really interested in me, but are concerned about my last salary, They did say they might be willing to make the position a Sr Mgr instead of a Mgr. Keeping my fingers crossed. It would be wild if I got the first job I interviewed with in NY when I didn't find anything in Denver for a year.

Hi Roz,
Is this your new refrigerator? You haven't had it that long have you? Hope things work out. DH took me Saturday and we bought me a new car. I was trying to get things paid off too for retirement. I had some problems with my car and I think DH worried about me when I traveled for work and to see my parents. I do stay in the road a lot.

Roz, I can sympathize. My brand new refrigerator won't make ice, and my fairly new dishwasher is broken for the third time. Very frustrating. Those unexpected inconveniences and expenses are so annoying.
