WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.
Over the hump day. These Grandkids are killing me with ball games. Last night we had one at 6 and one at 8 then tonight at 6 and tomorrow at 7. I blame all of the activities that my girls were in that caused me to be fat. It had nothing to do with the choices I made. I didn't have the time to prepare or make good choices running from one field/gym to the next one. Does this sound familiar....LOL.

Hi Roz,
My mom used to push along to our activities, mostly during the summer. But because it was the summer she'd end up losing weight from all the exercise and pushing :)
Today I'm just searching for jobs online, making decisions about my stuff for the move (will probably sell it all). Also catching up with friends from NY. I haven't lost my mind yet with all these things in motion. But, it's still early yet.

I know what you mean, Roz. My daughter just finished her high school career. Still have the softball banquet tomorrow and all star game on Sunday. She is going to play in a women's league this summer a couple nights a week I was sooooo glad a couple years ago when she decided to drop out of Little league. Plus she was always in one sport or another year round. It was impossible to plan meals, or even cook them, or even have time to do a little exercise. i am sure that contributed some to my fatness. But of course, I can always find an excuse..

Hi Roz,
I remember the ball days well - we always got fast food and none of them had any good choices back then. I was telling my DIL yesterday that sometimes I feel so self-absorbed after having WLS because I seem to spend so much time thinking about my meals and my food! She was talking about losing the baby weight and I told her I remember how hard it was especially after having 2 to have any time for yourself to exercise or do anything else.
I'm posting today for yesterday.
