On the road AGAIN!
Big changes in my life over the next few months. I've decided to move back from Denver to NYC/LI. In the past 10 years I've had 10 addresses. Why not go for 11? The long and the short of it is that 1) I still haven't found a job a year after landing in Denver, 2) The relationship I'd hoped would materialize between my sister and I (who lives here in Denver) is non existent, 3) My boyfriend of a year has finally confirmed my suspicions - he doesn't love me the way I love him. And so, there is nothing tying me to Denver at this point. So I'm pointing homeward towards NYC/LI where my parents are, my brother and his family are, my very best friend is, and where I haven't lived in 10 years and promised never to return.
How does this relate to food? Well I'm eating very little in response to the emotional turmoil this has all caused. Which is working in my favor because I usually eat when I'm stressed. I'm excited to go home a bit lighter than last year too.
Pretty please, keep me in your prayers or well wishes that I survive the next few months.

Wow - lots of life changes for you! Best wishes and I hope it works out for you. But going back to family is a good thing.
I know when I'm stressed, my pouch tightens up and virtually nothing goes into it.... you might be the same way.

Thanks Jody. It's funny in college up until now I thought I'd die before coming back to my parents neighborhood, let alone their house. As a wiser Lauren, I now realize my time with them is limited and I should take every moment to cherish them.

Sounds like the right move. Won't be easy, you and your family have all grown and changed but with openess and positive thoughts, you can work through whatever comes up.
