Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.

WOW...it's Monday again.  Did you take time this weekend to prepare for the week?  I got groceries and baked a few low carb things.  I do so much better when I'm prepared and not grabbing without thinking.  I always take time to divide my servings up and put them in ziploc baggies so it's quick and easy to pack my lunch or grab something running out of the door.  I also prepare my protein for the week.  I use a baby formula container.  The ones I have hold 4 scoops of protein.

Good morning everyone,

The weekend went so fast.  The Horse Expo on Saturday and then recouping, laundry and cooking for the week ahead.  I always cook and measure out into individual containers so that I can grab them in the morning while I’m still partially asleep.  I make up my protein/water in 2 20oz bottles and put them in the refrigerator the night before. I haven’t started baking stuff yet, but I’ve been investigating the different products out there.  I’m afraid that it will lead to a slippery slope of carb craving since bakery products are my worst weakness.

Lots to do at work and I forget to eat my snacks a lot of the time even.  But food doesn’t seem to interest me anymore.  This may change as I get further along in my journey.  I do drink lots of fluids and that is a big change for me.

Have a great day,

Susan

Hi Roz.  I did a lot of grocery shopping, but it's not "grab and go".  Unfortunately I'm only in MI for a week, so everything needs to be able or is frozen.  I worked it from there.

Weekend was busy busy busy... I definitely got my exercise in!!  Lots of work around the house.  My sister is moving in and I had to move all my stuff out of the spare bedroom, paint it, get the baseboards down, along with cleaning out the shed, putting up shelves, putting stuff back in, then moved to the garage... as I went I sorted stuff out to get rid of...

B - coffee and a double protein coffee

L -  egg/sausage/veggies scramble

D - french onion soup and steak/chicken kabobs (not much of them).

I've been trying to keep some of the carbquick stuff made.  I try to cook enough at most meals to at least have leftovers for one meal or lunch.  A typical meal for summer is a salad or veggie with some meat and that is it.  Cooks pretty quick.

Paperwork today, ponies have to wait.  thunder storms all around and moving through fast.  Rain, sun, rain, sun.

Muscle pump tonight

decaf protein coffee  33g
eggbeaters, kale, cheese
lemon tea protein  13g
chicken salad, roasted kale
caribean cooler protein  13g
carbquick cinnamon roll, pistachios
steak, salad
protein shake  33g

I  eat 3 or 4 times while I am at work, so I pack my meals the night before.  I bought some little disposable plastic cups with lids at GFS and  these are what I put everything in. I don't plan so well on the weekends, however. I have trouble getting water in on Sat and Sun.  During the week I sit at a desk and sip away all day.

Hi Roz,

Did you like the Carbquik muffins?  I think I'm going to have to leave the SF chocolate chips out-I have had major gas problems since I've been eating these.....I think they have lots of sugar alcohol in them.  I love them though.

I didn't cook much this weekend.  I did some tonight to do me the rest of the week.
