Hmmmm.. can you isolate with the issue is?  Are you taking meds that may be causing it?

I'm doing the happy dance!   I'm down 4 pounds!!  Yea!!

I've been following the rules, extremely low-carb, eating only when hungry,  protein in my coffee, and since I'm in Michigan I'm working my behind off around the house before my sister moves in.  I know some was water - but I feel the other 2 wasn't...  So I'm going to keep on keeping on!  I have 1 more lb to hit my "goal" before vacation, any more than that is a bonus and I'll take it!

Last week:  140

This week:  136

YEAH...that is awesome, Jody.

Okay, my carbs are lower this week than last, upped my fat to help with constipation issues. Protein is stable.

No meds...other than the ones I have been taking for many years now...both are thyroid meds and have been stable.

Change...I'm still not sleeping well at all.

You mentioned constipation.  Could you be plugged up?  I know I can drop a pound or two after a good BM, lol.

Are you tracking your food?  I haven't been on the tracking thread for a while but I know it really helps when I am having problems.  Next week will be better, I am sure.

Yeah, that could account for some of it. That's why I added fat bombs to my diet.

As for tracking...i do and I don't...I don't make a daily event of it...personally it reminds me of all the other diets I have been on in my life that failed. But I do periodically run thru a tracker to see where my protein/fat/carbs fall...and since my way of eating is pretty much in a rut day to day and week to week...

As for the sleep/weight link...I average about 3-5 hours of decent (NOT GOOD) sleep per night.

http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/533105

Put another way, the researchers found that the women sleeping 5 or fewer hours per night were 32% more likely to experience major weight gain, defined as an increase of 33 lb or more, and 15% more likely to become obese during the 16-year study period than the women who slept at least 7 hours per night.

In addition, women who slept for 6 hours were 12% more likely to have major weight gain and 6% more likely to become obese compared with women who slept at least 7 hours per night.

One of the most surprising findings, Dr. Patel said, was that the women who slept less actually ate less as well.

Are you doing melatonan?  It really helps me and I don't feel drugged.

Price, I tried that...didn't do a thing for me.

What will help is my back not spasming. Wearing the brace during the day helps a lot but it still keeps me awake or wakes me up after a couple of hours.

can you take a muscle relaxant at night that should help with your spasming and hopefully give you a good night sleep.
