LOOKING AT BEFORE SURGERY PICTURES
OMG! I can't believe what I looked like. I had completely let myself go.
I made some albums and posted my before surgery pictures there as "never look like this again" reminder to myself.
I plan on taking more pictures as my wls journey continues. Thank goodness Sam and "kids" love me no matter what I look like.
Have a great day,
Susan
One of my final blows was the wedding pictures of my niece's wedding. I had managed to stay out of camera range for years but couldn't then. Oh my. I still carry a picture in my purse of "before" I never want to forget what I looked like then and certainly never want to go back.

I was really good at being the one to take the picture, so I didn't have any of me when I was huge.
My sister took pictures of me right after surgery, and wow. That's just amazing how I was able to stay upright with such a huge belly. And the jowls around my neck.... I was so glad to be on the other side of the surgery after seeing those.
I had managed to drop about 30 lbs before my daughters' wedding, so I didn't look "horrible" - but I was still quite heavy.
I was cleaning out my spare bedroom last night and found a picture of me standing next to my motorcycle. I loved that motorcycle but hated me in the picture. I keep it to remind me where I've been. of course I don't display it... I would if it was just the motorcycle! LOL
My last straw was working in NYC and I was having a problem keeping up with my coworkers walking. They didn't feel sorry for me and I had to really hoof it. I decided that was "it"...!
congrats on your success! I'm glad my ex and kids loved me too, no matter what!

I had manage to lose some wt for my daughter's wedding, about where I am now and I was so depressed about seeing the different gowns that I couldn't get into. Of course I gain it all back and then some. I can't wait to see my final skinny self and if I lose all of my chins. When my daughter was about 12 we made a deal if I ever got as heavy as our neighbor to shot me well she didn't do it and I remind her I am saving her from going to jail by losing this wt once and for all.
