Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.

I got on this morning and there wasn't a single new post....ARE YOU ALL ON VACATION????  or Just enjoying summer?

Our weather has actually been a little cooler and I was very happy when I got on the scale this morning and I was back down to my normal cool weather weight of 119.  I was up to 123 on one hot day.  Seeing those 120's freaks me out in the morning so 119 was a good reminder that as soon as it cools down my weight will hold steady if I keep to my routine.  I'm not going to wish the summer away though....just have to deal with it one day at time.

QUESTION:  We only have 1 store in our area that carries Organic products and  I'm going to look for some low carb milk today so I can do a little Carbquik baking. I can't drink milk because it is "run to the BR time" and I was wondering if it could be frozen so it doesn't all go to waste.  I would divide it up into small freezer cups.

Hi Roz,

Not sure what my eating plans are today other than the usual things.

I use the Hood Calorie Count Down 2% Reduced Fat Dairy Beverage.  It is in with the milk-not sure how much actual milk is in it, but it works great in recipes and my coffee.

1 cup has:
70 calories, 4.5 fat, 3 carbs, 3 sugars, 5 proteins

The expiration date on the one I bought yesterday is July 20th so it last a really long time.  It is sometimes hard to find I have to get mine at Walmart.  I use it in my protein coffee and recipes and you can't tell any difference except it is thin like fat free milk.  They have several kinds of Hood so you have to get the right one it is in a Blue container with Hood in Red.

Good morning everyone,

Been up since 5am (thank you cats) and it's already getting hot here.  Sam is out on his bike ride (10-15 miles a day everyday).

Going to the Horse Expo today.  We are splitting it up, going this morning and seeing the exhibits and horses then going home for a long nap in the heat of the day and then back this evening for the Chris Cox and Friends show.

Food is kind of up in the air right now, too hot to eat actually, even the dogs are a bit off their feed.

I know plenty of people that freeze milk on a regular basis but I've never done it myself.  I can say it doesn't work well with heavy cream as the fat separates, but I can't see that being an issue with milk.

I did an hour of Shaun T Insanity this morning - I hope I ache tomorrow as I thought my efforts were a little wimpy - if I had a mirror then my form would improve but DH won't go for that in the lounge he he! smiley  Hopefully as I get stronger my form will improve (I'll have to focus on that of course, but today's focus was just getting through the workout).

I think you can freeze milk.  But I freeze all kinds of stuff you probably aren't suppose to, just like I wash stuff you aren't suppose to.  If you are cooking with it, I don't think it matters much.

I went early this morning to a farm in SC to a driving fun day.  We had all kinds of stuff to do and it was fun, Halley was very good.

decaf protein coffee  33g
2 carbquick cinnamon buns
lemon tea protein  13g
edemame, carbquick cheddar roll w/ pork roast, orange
lemon tea protein  13g
