I think this is probably the whip cream clean out... and will be back on by tomorrow. But I'll take it today and be ever so grateful.
Lack of sleep does increase cortisol levels, which will hang on to fat (especially in the abdomen area). Pain also doubles your stress, and stress also increases cortisol and hormones that hang onto fat. You know Liz... if you don't balloon up in the next 6 months - then you should consider yourself a marvel of science. Just keeping it within 10 lbs is a success with all the things you have going on.
Glad the whip cream helped, LOL...but good Lord, the pain while it works.
Yeah, all the research I have read suggests that. Even normal weight, otherwise healthy YOUNG adults who were forced to go without adequate sleep for a study would gain 2-5 lbs IN ONE week.
I REALLY hope I don't go up much more...I was telling dh today, on my way down, I considered this weight SKINNY, now I think of it as FAT. Amazing how the mind works.

Last week 103.4
This week 103.8
Total change +0.4
Did a little more bike riding yesterday when we finally saw some sun but my rear brake needs adjusting and the bike shops around here are closed on Sunday and Monday so I have to wait until Tuesday to get it fixed but I have a few more rides planned this week. I forgot how good it feels to ride my bike. I just need to be less intimidated by riding uphill. It is still a struggle to go up even a somewhat slight incline. I guess that gets better as time goes on. If it weren't for that I would ride all over. I wi**** were flat everywhere I wouldn't have a problem. I think my legs just aren't strong enough to climb hills very good.

Well... I saw the "NUMBER" that I swore I'd never see again this morning.
I have had a goal for the past 2 months to lose 8 lbs. It seems the more I tried the more I gained. Now I'm UP 5 lbs from that initial weight I wanted to lose 8 lbs from!! Now I'm on the cusp of "overweight".... and just 2 months ago I saw 132.. which I was pretty good with. How I've gained 8 lbs in 2 months??
I go on vacation in 2 weeks. I really need to get down a minimum of 5 lbs.
This week I went and bought some new shorts that "fit". Yea... at LOFT, which sizes are unbelieveable big for the size (4-6).
So... reality ha**** I am low carbing as low as you can go. No alcohol. No diet drinks. Tea, coffee with cream, no sugar laden creamers. Back to protein coffees. Back to basics. I need to reverse whatever damage I have done in the next 2 weeks. I'm realistic I won't get it all off, but need to at least get back into my jeans!!! The issue is, is I don't eat bad overall. I don't eat carby for the most part - pizza here and there. But I know my beer has a lot of empty calories and carbs. I saw online where they called it "liquid carbs". I totally get that.
So new attitude is here. I'm sad it took something like this to happen to make me wake up.
