It's almost here. I am starting to second guess myself. Since last summer I am 18 pounds lighter and with "only 60-70"to lose, is it the right thing to do? Will it work? Can I do it? Maintain it?
Not a huge amount of weight to lose, but many health problems that may go away with the weight loss. Sleep apnea, hypertension, high cholesterol, high triglycerides...
I know my doubts are normal. I hope the benefits will outweigh(LOL)the discomfort.
Glad to know you are all out there supporting me!

I had the same co-morbidities and they are all gone now.

You hear us talking about how hard it is to maintain, but you see that we are doing it.  We didn't before.  We have a fighting chance now, we didn't before.  Yes, it isn't easy, but it is doable.

You are almost there.  I can't say it is the right thing for you but I can assure you it was the best thing I ever did for me.

Get ready for an exciting journey.  I can tell you that maintenance is much harder than the losing phase.  Just make sure that during your losing phase you take advantage of it and make changes in your lifestyle that will carry you into maintenance.  Get more active and do things you have always dreamed about doing.  Don't dwell on foods you can't have, think about new foods that you can try.

I got scared right on the operating table, but not before that.  When I woke up from surgery one time I thought what have I done, but that was it and this has been one of the best decisions for me.  But only you know if it is the right one for you.

Good luck and I can't wait to watch your journey!!

Linda
