I WALKED TODAY :D :D :D

I went for a walk today and walked .9 miles in 18 minutes so I think thats pretty good. I walked a nice pace and a nice distance. I even got my bf to come with me.  I feel better that I went. I know only burning 96 calories isn't a lot but it sure seems like a lot when I am only getting 400-500 calories a day. ( both according to myfitnesspal ) I wonder how many calories I'm supposed to be getting at only 16 days out??

Good for you!

At this point in the game, don't worry about calories...worry about hydration, then protein...if you havee any room left go for veggies that might work but fluid and protein is first and foremost right now.

Start worrying about calories when you get to the real food stage. And when your sleeve has healed (which will be at about the 2 month mark).

Good for you!  Every little bit counts.  it's not just burning the calories, but keeping your metabolism cranked up higher for the rest of the day and more efficiently.  So in the end you burn more than the 96 calories you burned from just the walk.

Good for you.   Moving is what it is all about.  Don't worry about calories for a long time.  Fluid, protein then maybe carbs.  Enjoy the journey.

Good for you.  One way to make sure you are successful with long term weight loss is regular exercise.  Start off slowly and gradually build. My surgeon wants me to exercise 5 days a week, it took me a while to get up to the 30 minutes he recommended.

That's great!!  Like everyone else said:  Don't worry to much about calories.  It's the type of foods that's important.  Protein...Protein...Protein and lots of fluids.

I can't do shakes cuz they hurt my belly so I'm getting protein through food but with my tummy being so small I'm only getting around 40 g give or take. I guess that will get better as time goes by. I am averaging about a 100 calories a meal and I eat 4 times a day. I hope that is ok. I am really trying to make this work. I AM craving carbs bad though :( I'm hoping that gets better soon cuz it's driving me crazy.

It is really important to get your Protein in!!!!!  I don't know how much you absorb with your surgery type but 40 sounds really low to me.  Your muscles, heart, hair etc. need Protein to stay healthy.  I really  hope you are getting your supplements in.

Usually I crave things when my Protein is low.  Early out I couldn't drink the Protein drinks either but I didn't give up on them.  I just kept trying them and at about 6 months out it finally clicked and now I crave them.   I used  Unflavored Protein for quite awhile.  I put it into almost everything I ate or drank. I added it to my iced tea, crystal lite, soups, SF jello, SF pudding, etc.  I also snacked on Protein foods like jerky, meat sticks, cheese, etc.
