NEED some advice for memorial day meal
I'm on soft foods and don't know what to eat today for the cook out . Its hard to get moist meat off the grill when bf's dad is cooking lol. I know I can't have pasta but any suggestions? I hope this isn't too bad today. I'm going to take my water. I just don't want to be starving when I get home and over eat making myself sick. I'm still struggling with the eating slowly and if I'm super hungry I don't want to chance that. Help Help HElp lol
Take yogurt/other soft foods with you...that way you have something you know you can eat. As to moist meat, really depends on what they cook. AND how done you like it. Personally I like my steak almost rare enough to moo at me!
At our family reunion on Sat, we had "make your own" sandwiches...so I grabbed sliced ham & roast beef, a slice of cheese and rolled it up...left off the bread altogether.

My "soft" food stage was pureed. I could eat anything, it just had to be pureed. One of the first things I pureed was roast beef, lol. The drs suggestion was baby food and I actually bought some but never could bring myself to try it. So, you could puree your burger but it that grosses you out, then stick to things you know you can eat and won't make you sick. Never try something for the first time when you are out somewhere. mashed potatoes (add unflavored protein) was on my list of pureed foods. Not on my Drs list but lots of folks have refried beans early out. Add some cheese and salsa and that seems like party food.
