WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.
It's Friday and the start of Memorial Weekend. We usually do our mulch and plant our flowers this weekend but I'm not sure if that's in DH's plans or not. Is there something fun (or boring) that you do every year?
I just had a Wendy's chili for lunch and then I had one of my homemade pizza chips and I feel I am dumping. It must have been to much fat at one meal. My pouch is still really sensitive to fats and sugars.

Hi Roz,
I'm so sorry to hear that you're dumping. That must be frustrating this far out from the surgery. But I bet it helps keep you on the straight and narrow.
This year is different than any other year as I'm living in a new state and in a new relationship.
Tonight: Putting a deck box together with my guy and then off to the movies (Ironman 3 - guess who chose that?)
Saturday: A mystery. Will probably end up doing yard work
Sunday: Going hiking and having a picnic in Rocky Mountain National Park - then walking around the cute town outside the park
Monday: Barbecue at my guy's mom's house
Gee when I write it all down it looks great.|
B: Protein bar and tea
L: Cheese sandwich (need to pick up turkey)
D: Not sure - but I'm doing better eating out
S: 1/2 cup of pineapple and yogurt
Have a great weekend!!

Hi Roz,
I can handle more fat than sugar. DGD#1 is coming in the morning to spend the day and night with us while DD goes camping with some of her friends. I don't know what SIL is going to do.... We have a 50th anniversary party to go to tomorrow afternoon. Going to see the baby sometime this weekend and I'm cooking them a meal to take. I'm going to try to cook some carbquik cinnamon rolls if I have enough left. I ordered 2 boxes but it hasn't come in yet. I would like to get a walk/jog in a couple of times this weekend. DH and I are suppose to do all of our visiting Monday.
I'm so glad it is Friday. I need a long weekend!

When I ordered the carbquick, I also ordered some of the plain flour. I haven't done anything with it yet. Have you used it any? My cinnamon rolls taste ok but look pretty weird. The cinnamon mix came out everywhere.

I'd have to look it up on line. but I remember it being about the same. I guess it just doesn't have baking powder, etc in it like bisquick has. It was considerabley cheaper which was why I thought it was worth a try. But I haven't tried it yet.
