Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.

Be cautious of summer goodies like fresh fruit.  Lots of natural sugar that might seem healthy but it will slow down your weight loss or aid in weight gain.

I have been eating a lot more fruit than I used to, but I've been *trying* to follow the WW point system, which allows it.  Boy, gotta tell you - my body isn't used to that much fiber!!  I have been bouncing up a few lbs and it may be because of it, so I think I'll reduce it that may help.

Working from home today and tomorrow.  I've also been applying for jobs in Michigan - just in case my job goes away.  I won't know until Sept, but sometimes it takes quite awhile to even get an interview.  Of course they'll probably want an interview when I'm out in VA...

Where do you find your Carbquick?  I need to start using it.

I ate all that pizza yesterday - ugh!  Now it's gone.

B - coffee, protein hot chocolate and 2 pieces of low calorie wheat bread with butter

L - greek yogurt with SF jelly

D - idk

Vits:  yes

I know I answered your post this morning.  I must have gotten busy and click off of it before it posted.

Gina has mentioned several times about Vitalady gaining weight on fruit so when I got to maintenance I wrote and asked her about it.  She said she was eating fruit all day long when she gained.   At the time she answered me she said she still ate fruit every day but limited herself to only 2 per day.    I could eat a huge bowl of fresh fruit every day if it was within eye shot.

Do you know what the new WW plan calls for now?  Years ago  when I lost a lot on WW  they used the exchange program that told you exactly how many protein, carbs, veg., fruit, fats, milk, etc. to eat. That worked for me until they insisted we switch to their latest new plan.  As soon as they switched to points and you had to make choices (I always made bad ones).

I buy my Carbquick from Netrition.com.  It is $11.99 and 4.95 P/H for a 3 lb. box. Even with shipping that is the cheapest I have found.  Someone mentioned it is sour but I don't notice that at all.   I'm not a very good cook/ baker but after a few tries everything I've made has been really good. I LOVE the cinnamon rolls and my pizza crust was pretty good. It is a little dryer so I have to use extra PAM on my pans or it browns to quickly.   I have to put mine in individual freezer bags so I don't go over board.  There are a ton of recipes on the box and on Pinterest.

We got our hours cut by 1/2 an hour but fortunately I have a job.  I hope I never have to interview again!

I hope you finish your day out strong!

Good morning Roz,

I didn't do too bad at dinner last night. I did have a bit more calories than usual at dinner and I paid for it with a higher number on the scale this morning. I did get to the gym this morning, and I'm hoping that counteracts the extra calories.

Also wishing I could have the fresh pineapple in my fridge, calling my name. But, I don't have enough calories in the budget today.

B: tea and protein bar
L: Egg, cheese, and sausage on a deli flat
D: chicken and veggies
S: tea and yogurt

I can eat pineapple just like candy and over do it!   My boss got me a pineapple corer for Christmas and that thing is awesome!  It makes it way to easy to have fresh pineapple...LOL

Sounds Good!

Hi Roz,

I need to find a good snack to have before I exercise.  Might go back to the Greek Yogurt with the fruit in it.  The stats on it were pretty good.  I am wanting to get back to running again now that it is hot outside.  It is beautiful here today.  We've been having storms every night.  I don't eat a lot of fruit-never have.  DH loves it and always has some at home.

I love fruit and I have to store it in the back of the fridge so I don't see it every time I open the door.  Before WLS I couldn't eat much of it because it really gave me bad heartburn.

I have to order some more Carbquick.  I think I have enough to make one more recipe.  I don't know why I didn't order it when I ordered my last protein.

Good Menu!

I just ordered two boxes of it today.  I have gone through this box really quickly.  I need to make some cinnamon rolls this weekend.

I used a lot of mine in the pound cake I made the other week and that was a big waste - it actually molded after about 3 days.  It didn't taste very good either but I was going to eat it until the mold started growing-LOL - good excuse to throw it away.

It surprises me how I can swallow a handful of pills but I can't take a gulp of water.  Maybe it goes down to fast?

YEP...it looks like you did pretty good!
