I only did ok low carb wise. Looks like I'm going to have to go back to my plan-prep-practice-and do it method. I don't seem to be able to just kick it into gear the day after I decide to do it. I seem to have to work up to it...a deliberate process kind of thing.

Doing well with staying away from the carbs, but it is a deliberate process.

Been cooking a placing things in single serve containers, so I can just grab and go.

No skinny jeans here yet. Think since I have the carb monster under control, I need to start tracking my calories along with my protein. I have to say though, my pms symptoms have not started yet, so it must be related to the poor diet I was eating.

I also need to start doing more cardio I think, need to get rid of the muffin top.

Why did the weight seem to come back all around my middle?

Getting ready today for my son's 16th birthday party tomorrow. Temptation will be everywhere!

Have a great day all!

I need to increase my cardio from zero to 30 mins at least. I've been weight lifting primarily which I know will help my metabolism. I just get bored with cardio and can't seem to get on the treadmill.

I don't ever see skinny jeans in my future but I did wear white capris today and that's the first pair of white pants that I have owned since I was a teenager.

I am a grab and go kind of eater so I have learned that everything has to be divided up in individual containers or I make bad choices.  You might call me a bag lady...I should own stock in Ziploc.

My scales aren't moving down and I'm really bummed.  I looked back at my weight for last year and I was around 121 all summer.  I guess my summer weight is 121 and my winter weight is 119.  I love 119 so much better!!!!!!    My ankles (especially the left one)  really swell as soon as it gets warm.   It is huge already this morning.  I really thought after I lost all of this weight I wouldn't swell like this any more.

Strange that you're heavier in the summer. I'm just the opposite. Greater moving around helps.

I did pretty good carb-wise.  What carbs i did eat were from dairy, veggies or whole grains and I didn't go hog-wild on the grains.  I didn't allow any chip type of snacks in the house.  There were days I was searching for the lost box, but glad it didn't appear.

Coming back Sunday.  Then a whole new mindset of eating.  In Michigan it's easy... I've done a lot of cooking this time versus eating out.  Once I move in VA I'll be able to do that more there.

Just not buying the box of crackers or bag of chips works for me too. I'm pretty responsible at the supermarket.

I've had a number of interviews this week. Hoping something sticks.

Did well with my calorie restriction yesterday and was happy to see the 180s when I woke up this morning. Can't wait to lose more.

Some planting and weeding at my guy's house scheduled for this weekend. Truly looking forward to getting my hands dirty with his daughter's help.

Have a great weekend.

I did OK.  Did lots of hard labor and lost 3 lbs.  But not my most stellar low carb week.  This hind sight could also be warped because I’m trying too hard to lose weight right now.  I need to relax the Nurse Ratchet patrol for a week.

I am seeing a trend though.  Salads, a wonderful low carb/calorie treat, are a conveyance mechanism for me.  Fortunately I load it up with fats.

Yogurt – something no DSer should be without – lately is a conveyance mechanism for many things that should not pass my lips.  I put Bear granola, dark chocolate chips, chopped pecans, blue berries/SF jams/SF syrups – yes, you name it and it seems to be jumping on top of my yogurt.   All at once.  I stir in a scoop of unflavored protein and that seems to give me license to load that bad boy up with all kinds of edible crap.  I need to nip this in the bud.  There are a lot of empty calories in that delicious stuff.  I vow to start next week with cleaner yogurt.  (This weekend I’m going to have to eat all the bad stuff so none is around starting Monday.)

Thank goodness it is Friday.  I am so tired.  We have a dance recital tonight for DGD#2 and another one tomorrow afternoon for DGD#1.  Hoping to get some baby time in there tomorrow also!!

I did horrible the first of the week, but have done better since I've been home.  I left all my food at DS's house so nothing cooked at my house to eat.  One day I didn't even start my protein drinks in until after 2pm except my protein decaf coffee.  It is amazing how fast I can make bad choices....  I really need to be on a schedule.

I need a cooking day this weekend to get my act together.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Linda
