Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!
I spent last evening making Salmon cakes, Carbquick Cinnamon rolls, and Pizza Chips. I haven't made anything for quite awhile and I noticed I was starting to snack on things that are not WLS friendly. I was going to make flourless peanut butter cookies too but since our 5 yr. old grandson was helping me I figured he would eat them all. That might be tonights project.

Gorgeous weather here in MI today - 82, low humidity and a nice breeze. VERY nice after the cold, bone chilling weather we had Sun/Mon.
Having the munchies today for some reason. I think it's cause I ate some carbs yesterday and am thinking I need more... when I'm in MI my eating schedule is pretty close to the times below. Just the way it likes to eat I guess. That is when I feel hungry.
Coffee
B (at 10am) 2 egg scramble with veggies (spinach, onions, green peppers, tomatoes and cheese)
S - (noonish) a few grapes and a peach
L - (at 2:30) - peanut butter and SF jelly sandwich on lite wheat bread (that's the munchie part)
D - ?
vites: yes
water: doing pretty good.

Sorry Jody! I checked before I started typing and yours wasn't there. I am late today....very busy at work with appointments.
I hope that your nice weather flows our way. It's suppose to get in the 80's today but it is really windy and raining off and on. I'm glad none of the kids and DH have ball games tonight.
Your scrambled eggs sound great! That wasn't too bad of a lunch...I could think of a whole lot worse of one.

I really beat myself up anymore about eating carbs - any kind, especially simple. But if i do, I try to select whole grains. It also helps keep my blood sugar stable. Simple carbs really mess with it!

I know - me too, especially since I've put some weight on. I tend to count all carbs... haha - if I count them at all!

Carbs are tough for me too. I do okay during the week when I'm home and not tempted by unwanted carbs. But the weekend is hard because I'm often eating out. Last night I bought 2 slices of cake from Target for my guy's birthday. I thought that was better than buying a whole cake. We ended up splitting just one slice and made him take the second slice to work with him. I would have devoured it otherwise. Sweets are just two tempting.

Hi Ladies,
Went to the new bariatric surgeon (see my other topic). Few little things to accomplish still. Tonight is my guy's birthday dinner, so not sure what that will entail. I did get 2 slices of cake to put candles on. I'm eating my regret-free.
