Even at 3 yrs, we make mistakes

Yesterday was a great day.  I went to a horse show, scored the event, drove my pony, had a wonderful time.  Did ok with eating except that from 11 until 5, I ate nothing.  I was drinking.  Then I ate a bag of popcorn because I was hungry and traveling home.  Then DH wanted to go to supper and I was hungry so we did.  I ate a piece of chicken, some veggies and a bite of blueberry cobbler.  But I ate too much.  I can't tell you how in pain I was.  I don't think I have hurt that bad since I had RNY almost 3 yrs ago.  Got the foamies on the way home but managed to wait to throw up until I got home.  That is the first time I have thrown up since RNY.  At least it relieved the pressure and I felt better but I went to bed with chills and didn't get up until this morning.  I can't believe I was so stupid, not thinking or whatever.  As much as I hate exposing my stuipidity, I need everyone else to know that we all do make mistakes.  We need to own them, learn from them and move on.

We all make mistakes!  Mom used to say you learn best from your own mistakes.  Glad you were able to get rid of it.  I have had a few instances where I had foamies and could not throw up!  Hours of misery.   Glad you got lots of sleep, hope you are better this morning :)  Hugs

Price, I am sorry...but as you say, it is a learning experience and lets newbies know we are'nt perfect. We still make mistakes even years out.

I hate to admit i have done that too often. The thing about it though is it reminds me my tool is fully functioning. Im glad you are feeling better. I admire your discipline.

I am fine this morning.  I hope it will be a great reminder to stop when I start feeling full and 1.5c is a high limit for me.  I can do that for soups and some less dense stuff but that is the max.  I just never have had a good full signal early.  And I went overboard.

Glad you are feeling better Price!!

Mine is usually something sweet and it just knocks me out and makes my pouch hurt really bad for a little while.  I had way too many carbs yesterday.

It is so easy to do (the carbs) because they are everywhere.  I was pleased that I did a good job controlling carbs over the weekend, then blew it with the amount of food.  I guess there are always lessons to be learned.

AWE...sorry you had to experience that Price.

I fear dumping is the one thing that keeps me under control  but sometimes I let my guard down (it only takes an extra bite) and then I have BIG regrets.  After I give myself the "why are you so stupid" talk I  feel so Blessed that I still dump after 4.5 years.
