Hernia

Today i saw my surgeon regarding a small baseball size protruding of my right upper abdomen.  I had a huge hematoma there and had to have it excised a week after surgery because it started to bleed out through my suture.  Pretty awful smell and experience in general.  Anyway, now i have a small bulge that shows through my clothing.  I am meeting with a plastic surgeon this friday.  I hope he says that i can get a tt the same time i get the hernia fixed.  Hoping that insurance will cover most of the cost but because it is located on the upper right quadrant under breast it may not be covered.  Has any one else had any experience with a hernia repair and tt?

I had 2 huge hernias that were repaired during my RNY.  Then I had a little umbilical hernia that I had repaired about a year after my WLS.  It was out patient and no big deal.  Don't know about a larger one but it seems like folks say they don't like to do TT until you have been at goal for a while.  So the timing may be an issue if you need to have the hernia done sooner.  good luck.  It would be great if you could get the TT paid for. 

I'll find out friday.  I am not ready for tt.  I have 45 more lbs to lose, but i don't know how long i can live with this little baseball sticking out. LOL   Now that i am thinking about it , i won't be able to wait until tt time.  Why can't things always go your way....:)
